Moscow Mitch, eruption at Salt Lake... - 08/09/19 12:47 AM

Rep. Chris Stewart’s Utah town hall meeting marked by anger over mass shootings, Trump

Quote:
The high emotions were on display when Stewart, a Republican, answered that first question in part by saying everyone should condemn violence and racism.

“Then why did you vote no to condemn racism?” shouted out Jamie Carter, of West Bountiful, saying she was referring to Stewart’s vote against a House-passed resolution condemning what it called Trump’s racist remarks against four women House members of color.
...

“The president of the United States, as far as I know, hasn’t shot anyone,” Stewart said. One man yelled in response that “Charles Manson never shot anyone either” as he led a mass-murdering gang.

Looks like the liberal hotbeds of Utah aren't unique when it comes to voter anger over Trump.

Apparently Mitch McConnell is feeling the backlash, too.

If Utah is pissed off at them, Republicans are toast in 2020. grin

Utah AND Kentucky!

And now likely West Texas and Ohio, too. Trump's "sympathy visits" were not well received, mainly because he couldn't pull off sympathy. He's not sure what the word means, so he used both venues to attack his enemies. That only works at a Trump rally.

I hope the next President gets to replace a conservative Justice with Garland. Fitting justice...

That would be awesome if the replacement was for Squi's buddy Brett. smile

I think that the GOP is wildly underestimating the anger they are generating in even RED States, and overestimating their ability to suppress the vote. Or... maybe not.

The Mooch breaks with Trump, suggests primary challenge.

Scaramucci breaks with Trump, says GOP may need 'change at the top of the ticket'

When the only truth teller on the Right is The Mooch, you know you're staring into the abyss. LOL

I think Mooch thinks he has spotted a career opening and is making a dash for it...

The Mooch was on Bill Maher's Real Time three nights ago. That is when Trump said he "happened" to "catch" the show. Golly, what could have been the motivation? coffee

The Mooch defended Trump the entire show by saying "you don't abandon friends - especially friends with really hard jobs."

Trump attacked The Mooch the next day. The Mooch returned fire.

Now...The Mooch is telling America what a bad person Trump is. WTF? Hmm

Was it that easy to turn Mooch into a "Never Trumper?" crazy Seems pretty superficial that Mooch turned that easily. Hmm

My eternal gratitude goes to Joe Scarborough for tagging McConnell with the 'Moscow Mitch' moniker. It has really caught on. Russia owns his old ass too.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/politics/moscow-mitch-mcconnell-nancy-pelosi/index.html

Washington (CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took a jab at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Wednesday, calling him "Moscow Mitch" -- a cutting nickname that recently prompted the Republican leader to take to the Senate floor to decry "modern-day McCarthyism."

McConnell faces new questions after The Washington Post reported Wednesday about how one Russian company with ties to the Kremlin benefited from the lifting of economic sanctions, which McConnell aided by preventing from passing congressional efforts to keep the sanctions in place. That company then made a major investment in a project in McConnell's home state of Kentucky. Popp told the Post that McConnell "was not aware of any potential Russian investor before the vote."

OMG the stench of BS is overwhelming LOL ROTFMOL
Not aware of any potential Russian investor my rosy red ass.

You know, Karen and I have BEEN to Kentucky and I swear I thought there were at least a few intelligent people there.
Maybe they were all just from out of town like we were.

I don't know how Mitch can cook up that much baloney and his constituents lap it up like it's ice cream.

I think I've mentioned in DP a few times that one of my sons lives in Colombia, S.A. He moved there the year Trump was elected. He has always been interested in keeping up on political news and told me over a year ago that Mitch McConnell is a Russia spy. I laughed then but not anymore.

I'm not ready to go there...yet, but something is definitely up. Hmm

#MoscowMitch being a Russian asset is more believable than a child sex-ring in the basement of a pizza parlor - that literally doesn't have a basement.
