Hey I didn't mean to make you blush, LTR.

Don't mention that woman's name!
I'll take back all my good wishes to you.
I went to the national championship game in 1996.
Don't be cruel!

still pondering those 19 bad-ass tough years...

my gym is going good. I like to go every other day and generally make it.
I've got an alternate routine now so that I don't do the same thing each time. I asked a man I see there all the time to advise me and he was so complimented that I thought he was a trainer that we've gotten to be great friends now.
LOL, he's part of the janitorial staff!

LOL, I do that too, Phil.
Take dancing as a substitute occasionally I mean.
You go boy!

Aha! That's why we get along so well! My first job was janitor of the church I went to in high school.

Finally got my rowing done for the day. Got up three times today to row and the phone rang each time. Almost forgot. Have extended 10 seconds a day this week so up to 7.5 minutes. But I'm wondering; is there some way to set up RR so that we can't post until we've done our fitness stuff for the day??

I do not now nor have I ever owned, borrowed, worn, or wiped up dog puke with the type of shirt you describe. The only ring I have ever owned or worn is my wedding ring. Well, actually, two wedding rings; thought I had lost the original and bought a replacement. Found the original two years later in my bike tire patch kit. Not sure why it was in there!

No telling how many years I took off my life expectancy- not to mention the brain cells I fried!
Say, you didn't mention the age thing. Why on earth did you think I was younger than you?
Ran another 5k today, shaved a minute off my time too. It was the second time I've run this course in as many days. I wonder if that's normal to make such a gain the second try on a course. I guess I was simply being cautious yesterday not knowing how difficult the course was. Live an learn I suppose.

I can't remember why. Maybe you said when you graduated UT?
Certainly not for those reasons you stated earlier. You are very articulate.
I AM older than you. It's been a while since I saw 44.

Congrats on improving your time. Again, I don't work out like that so can't help you but it's a pleasure watching you improve and enjoy what you're doing.

I still don't get the Live to ride thing. I wasn't trying to be silly. I just saw a bumper sticker I liked.

Not a "biker" but have known several who have delighted in relating their adventures on two motorized wheels. Apparently something very liberating and exciting about launching down the open road with wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth for hours on end. Most of the folks I know who do it ride mostly along very scenic roads, so it seems also to be a "back to nature-natural art appreciation" thing. Thus, "Ride to Live".

A subset are very, very into it. To the point of not finding comparable joy in anything else they do, and so devote a great deal of time, energy, and money to the pursuit. Thus, "Live to Ride"

Yes.
My ex was into bikes. He even raced some.
That's what I figured the bumper sticker was about.

Today I lost that gain and then some- worn out I think.
There's a saying, "If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand". I dunno, teenagers forced me to get out of the bike business temporarily I can assure.
I used to take rides when my bunch went to church- my sanctuary had handlebars I guess. I've often tried to explain why I liked to ride and I once characterized it by stating that it is mind cleansing. When I rode, I thought of nothing but how not to die. Although I never raced- officially, I rode them like they were stolen! When ya ride like that, the notion of dying crosses your mind often. The Dragon (Deals Gap) along the Tennessee- North Carolina border and Hwy 1 up the West coast were my favorites, although I did enjoy Montana and Wyoming too. Very curvy on The Dragon and Hwy 1, fun test of skill.
