The highly prized Ineffably Stupid Criminal State had a new entry, and what a doozie it was.
Police say a Pennsylvania man in a hospital gown stole $50 from his ex-girlfriend at Wal-Mart, then tried to flee on a store-owned motorized shopping scooter. Thirty-two-year-old Craig David Jr., of Smithfield, was charged Wednesday with robbery and disorderly conduct.
State police Cpl. Chuck Frey says David had just been released from a hospital for injuries in a domestic dispute Jan. 1st. Frey says David had been hit with a frying pan and table leg.
David was still in a hospital gown Tuesday night when he met an ex-girlfriend who agreed to pay for his prescription medication. Instead, police say he grabbed $50 from her and scooted away.

TAVARES — Lake County authorities say they have a serial car burglar in custody, one who shocked himself with a Taser and put himself in handcuffs.
Shane Thomas Williams-Allen of Orlando was arrested this week on multiple burglary and grand-theft counts, and the Lake County Sheriff's Office said he may be linked to as many as nine car burglaries around Clermont and Minneola.
And one of the burglaries involved an unmarked Ocoee Police car, the Sheriff's Office said. Stolen from that car were a Taser, an expandable baton, handcuffs, a Glock handgun magazine, a digital camera and a digital recorder.
Williams-Allen, 19, discharged the stolen Taser and shocked himself when he first discovered it, the investigation found.
Last week, he accidentally locked himself up with the handcuffs and had to call authorities to set him free, according to his arrest report. Many of the other stolen items were recovered following his arrest.

Pepper spray has been flying off the shelves in the towns where the attacks have occurred, and McGinty said her landlord in Marquez handed out stun guns as Christmas gifts. Nearly 200 miles away in Yoakum, elderly volunteers at the local museum have been locking its doors during business hours. . . .
Beginning with the rape of a 65-year-old woman in Yoakum last January, authorities have linked eight sexual assaults or attempted sexual assaults to the suspect, who has been dubbed the "Twilight Rapist" because most of the attacks occurred around dawn. They also believe he robbed or attempted to rob four other women.
The victims have all been women, ranging in age from 65 to 91. One rape victim played piano at her church on Sundays. An 81-year-old woman scared off an intruder with a gun, firing several rounds for good measure. A 66-year-old woman was attacked twice, despite having moved across town following the first assault.

In 2008, the FDA found that the plastic additive BPA was safe for all use, even while other countries were banning its use. Last year, the new and improved FDA reviewed its prior decision, in the face of far more serious scientists and their confirmed findings. Most recently, the FDA says that BPA may be excluded (by statute) from the FDA's power, a great example of how money corrupts science in this country.
In a non-scientific "Early Show" experiment, Wallace ate a sandwich made from canned tuna, which consumer groups have found to contain BPA. Shortly afterwards, she had her blood drawn. For the next two days, Wallace tried to live a BPA-free life, during which she tried to avoid all foods in cans or plastic containers.
Then she had her blood drawn again. Her serum samples were shipped to the lab of University of Missouri professor Fred Vom Saal.
Vom Saal told Wallace, "The first set of blood that you gave us had high levels of Bisphenol A in it. It's over five times higher than what we find on average in women in the United States."
However, after her BPA-free diet, Vom Saal said her levels were much lower than average.
Wallace asked, "How convinced are you that elevated levels of BPA in people's bodies can lead to cancers, heart disease, obesity and early puberty?"
He replied, "I and other colleagues of mine at an NIH (National Institutes of Health) meeting said, with a very high level of confidence, we think Bisphenol A is a threat to human health."

Honey and I have dropped the use of bottles of water (we rarely, if ever, drink soft drinks) from our lives. Instead, we reuse nice glass bottles that we simply clean, refill, and reuse as needed. As for canned food. Hmmm.

h) Moron Religious texts on gun sights?
Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.
The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.
U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.
One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as "the light of the world." John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Time to demand that Trijicon's contract is cancelled; that Trijicon is fined; that Trijicon is banned from future US contracts, and that the assholes who made the decision to push their views upon others receive the full text they cite laser tattooed to their foreheads.
