Accountability is missing across the board, but let one of the peasants get out of line- jaywalking, speeding, or breaking some "law" that you're not even aware of- and the hand of authority comes down hard and heavy. There's probably a better chance of Jon Corzine being criminally prosecuted (and that's not going to happen)then BP. I still remember Haywood appearing before Congress. He seemed annoyed by the inconvenience.

BP Sees a Return to Grandeur as Gulf Fishermen Reel From Disaster
Quote:
You can expect the media and the airwaves to be clogged with happy talk about the Gulf in the months ahead. We all wish it were true, but the facts -- and perceptions of those toiling in the fisheries -- just don't support it.

Research: Gulf Shrimp Widely Contaminated With Carcinogens
Quote:
Now, a new study published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives has revealed that the 2010 BP Gulf oil disaster resulted in widespread contamination of Gulf Coast seafood with toxic components from crude oil.1 In fact, levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in shrimp were found to exceed the FDAs established thresholds for allowable levels [levels of concern (LOCs)] for pregnant women in up to 53% of Gulf shrimp sampled.

Quote:
With reports now surfacing in mainstream media outlets on the appearance of eyeless shrimp and mutant fish, this latest finding probably only scratches the surface of a health problem in the Gulf titanic in proportions.
