Welcome to the Round Table for the week of August 21-27, 2011

Schools are opening, festivals are happening, markets are crashing, politicians are telling lies and yet, life goes on. Makes one wonder.

Do we live life too careful, do we constrict what is acceptable to too small a square, are we too often afraid to be who we really are?

So is there something you have always wanted to do? Why not now, today? If it costs too much, takes too much, then pick something else.

Go get every drop out of life you can.

Awwww, poor Michele. Her "straight" husband has caused her to push the 'corndog envelop.'

I didn't know that 'corndogs' came in foot-long size - must be a Mid-West thing. coffee

I’ll try to only see a corn dog and not see a person with a serious lack of imagination about how a foot-long corn dog being inserted into a woman’s open mouth while she reaches to grasp it with two hands might look. gobsmacked

Too good not to pass on
Quote:

A man walked into a very high-tech bar. As he sat down on a stool he noticed that the bartender was a robot. The robot clicked to attention and asked, "Sir, what will you have?"

The man thought a moment then replied? "A martini please."

The robot clicked a couple of times and mixed the best martini the man had ever had.

The robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?" The man answered "Oh, about 164."

The robot then proceeded to discuss the 'theory of relativity', inter-stellar space travel', the latest medical breakthroughs, etc...

The man was most impressed. He left the bar but thought he would try a different tact. He returned and took a seat. Again the robot clicked and asked what he would have? "A martini please."

Again it was superb.? The robot again asked "What is your IQ sir?"

This time the man answered , "Oh about 100". So the robot started discussing NASCAR racing, the latest basketball scores, and what to expect the Dodgers to do this week end.

The guy had to try it one more time. So he left, returned and took a stool.... Again a martini, and the question, "What is your IQ?" This time the man replied " Uh..... bout 50".

The robot clicked then leaned close and very slowly asked,
"A-r-e...
y-o-u-r...
p-e-o-p-l-e...
r-e-a-l-l-y
g-o-i-n-g...
t-o...
n-o-m-i-n-a-t-e...
M-i-c-h-e-l-l-e...B-A-C-H-M-A-N-N?

Legendary Notre Dame player and coach Knute Rockne was once asked if he prayed before games. His reply was yes, but he found that the larger and quicker his team, the better God seemed to listen!
