porter. MSNBC has taken on Oklahoma Governor Gary Johnson to give him more exposure on the channel. I had him on my list for several months and had hoped he would locate a group to help him prepare for the debates. He was on with Dylan Ratigan this afternoon and I like him. He has no plans to frighten seniors or the unemployed. Someone asked Gov. Johnson what he thought of Congresswoman Bachmann and he could not find the words to reply.

Santorum the first to go. Bachmann holds on until South Carolina* and is dropped. I see Cain dropping out next, after South Carolina as he doesn't survive the "Super Tuesdays" of the bigger States. Ron Paul out 4th, and Gingrich and Romney neck and neck all the way to the California Primary in June 2012.

*Suth'nahs, just don't "get" a husband's fashion sense and ability to walk into Macy's and walk out with wifey's shoes to fit her feet perfectly - or - maybe they do "get" that "type" of husband which is why Michele is dropped. coffee

Congresswoman Bachmann's husband has nothing to do with Southerners failure to support her. She's Looney Toons.

The eventual candidate is not currently participating in the theater of the pre-primary season.

My instinct tells me the powers behind are trying to boost Newt close enough to step in if it looks like the Romney negatives will keep a lid on his electability.

Seriously? When videos of Marcus surfaced, the conservatives quietly, and politely, backed away. Which goes to show you: If you're against gay marriage - don't be in one. coffee

Romney has no "negativity" if you minus out his Mormonism and his Massachusetts Health Care Reform - both conservative GOP issues. For the average GOP'ers - Romney is the cat's meow. It's the conservatives who don't like him. But, they only make up about 27% of the GOP voting bloc.

Gingrich has his infidelity issues for the average GOP'ers; ironically, the conservatives are willing to look past that issue. Actually not 'ironic' - given that they tend to cherry-pick their values.
