Now THAT is serendipity!

Perhaps not. A software algorithm might have “seen” you type bra and cup--lo and behold!
Ads are targeted like that these days.

ounce....... = 1/2
jack......... = 1/2
gill.......... = 1/2 (soft "g", of course!) · · grin
cup.......... = 1/2 (= 0.2765 litres)
pint......... = 1/2 (A pint's a pound the world around)
quart........ = 1/2
pottle....... = 1/2
gallon....... = 1/2
flagon

Here, I think, the antiquated binary English system will not replace the scientific Système International. I cannot imagine measuring bra sizes in multiples of 0.2765 litres. · · wink

The handful was considered but rejected due to a lack of objective measure caused by tactile and eroginal variabilities, though early iterations were fashioned after fingers and palms, hence the phrase, "He sure is handy".

One handful is a recognized element of the English system of measurements -- though it is usually called an ounce (Latin usually triumphs over the good, old Anglo-Saxon terms!)

one handful = 2 mouthfuls = 2 tablespoons
one mouthful = 4 drams
one dram = 60 minims

A minim is essentially one liquid drop.

By the way, a "pinch" = 5 minims, and a "dash" = 10 minims.

Not universally recognized, of course! · · wink

Let he who is without sin cup the first breast !!

................but, good my brother,
Do not as some ungracious pastors do,
Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven,
Whiles like a puff'd and reckless libertine,
Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads,
And recks not his own rede.
