So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 billion, you put in a billion. You make $10 you put in one. Of course you've got to get rid of the loopholes. Some people say, 'Well that's not fair because it doesn't hurt the guy who made $10 billion as much as the guy who made 10.' Where does it say you've got to hurt the guy? He just put a billion dollars in the pot. We don't need to hurt him. It's that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here building our infrastructure and creating jobs.

DR. CARSON: Here's my solution: When a person is born, give him a birth certificate, an electronic medical record, and a health savings account to which money can be contributed -- pretax -- from the time you're born 'til the time you die. When you die, you can pass it on to your family members, so that when you're 85 years old and you got six diseases, you're not trying to spend up everything. You're happy to pass it on and there's nobody talking about death panels.

Biblical tax code? Sure, that should solve whatever the problem is that only gods flat tax can solve.

So, you hate the thought of all new-born babes being given a healthcare savings account to which money is contributed? Goodness, I would hate to hear what your opinion is of Thomas Paine's Agrarian Justice, chunkstyle. coffee

I have no hate over some guys scheme for newborn health savings accounts Iss. Only amusement over some guy picturing god as a tax specialist. Hey, he's got a right to his freedom of religion. One day I hope we can get freedom from religion. Especially when it's got a tax scheme.

Actually, Jesus left the issue of taxes up to Caesar or his equivalent. "Render unto Caesar's what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's. This was right after he asked who's picture was on the coins, when his followers complained about having to pay taxes.

I'm surprised Jesus didn't defer to his dad/self. What with his references made to his churches needing 10% of wages earned.
I wonder if the good doctor knows if god meant gross or net? Since the Doctor seems to be talking flat tax I'm guessing God would rule gross. Apparently God doesn't like deductions for any one.

Setting aside hatred for Christians, the fellow is address a secular issue -- universal healt care accounts. What is it about such an account that frightens you, chunkstyle?

Yeah, well, redefining words away from their original meaning is a form of twisting the frame of a "discussion", which is precisely how hagfishing works.

What is it about what Chunky said that frightens you, Mr. Iss? Competition for the best fishing spot?

Hatred for Christians now?

I started to respond to the HSA accounts so I went back and watched the video again and what struck me was the smooth mixture of B.S. with cake.

"money means nothing when you dont have your health"...... had to laugh at the irony coming from a well paid brain surgeon who goes on to quote the old and new testament.

Money doesn't matter in our private health care industry?

War on Christmas?

Flat tax?

To much political correctness?

Lemme give you my Parable of the cost to live:

Man makes $100/ week to buy an $80.00 loaf of bread to feed his family. Another man makes 100k/week to buy an $80.00 loaf of bread.

Both need bread to eat for their families. $80.00 dollars represents the cost to live.
Man making $100/week is required to pay $10.00/week in tax leaving him with $10.00 leftover/
Man making $100k/week has to pay 10k?week in tax leaving him with $89,920 left over.

Both are paying you good doctors biblical flat tax. One is left very close to the edge with 10.00 in his pocket the other $89,920. The other has a comfortable distance left to be away from the edge. In fact the other one can make many blunders, mistakes, and Buddah forbid, a host of medical ailments but still be comfortably away from the edge. The $100/week man cannot make a mistake or get sick as it will take him right over the edge and into fiscal ruin.

Yes God is a hard god but, as the Doctor so brilliantly revealed, a just God none the less. I am sure that is why he sent himself/son/jesus down to show us the simplicity and efficiency of a free market, flat tax, HSA system of healing the sick, clothing the naked washing the dirty and feeding the poor.

It is Gods plan revealed. I see the truth of it.

A hint: It is a National Prayer Breakfast. If the 'progressive' political god did not want to draw attention to the event he should not have attended. But, he did. Religious references were made. It happens at prayer breakfasts. Get over it.

Now, are you upset at the doctor because he advocated paying some of your tax money into the accounts of those too poor to add money to their accounts, themselves?
Yours,
Issodhos
