Twice, twice i put the info in.

My comp at home muct be acting up

Damnit

the gist of the story was that this typhoon was bigger than the theoretical max as set out in the typoon scale. 8.1 only 4th time this has happened.

winds of 195 MPH with gusts of up to 250.

batten down the hatches!

And some also recognize how easily science can be manipulated and used for political purpose, rick. Given the lack of hurricanes this season, I am anticipating the usual globalwarmonger community, and Goreans in general, using the mild hurricane season as an example of increased extreme weather change. Too much money and power to be wrested from the current powerholders to let a little thing like weather - or the lack thereof - get in the way. :-)

While very true, you do have to admit that recent storms (Sandy, Haiyan), which have developed, are off-of-the-charts in magnitude of strength - which only happened as the result of warming oceans:
