discusses a strategy that leverages money and clever stucturing of donations to achive local dominance dominance that can be hard to reverse due to redistricting

to be fair both parties participate in this game of legal evaision of campaign donation restrictions iy is an arms race of sorts albeit a contest the repubs seem to be winning

Existing laws are loosened, and circumvented. ultimately it makes a mockery of th democratic process. Should one want to be concerned that we have turned our back on the founders vision, imo this is the most egregious example

The Founders were convinced that the leaders of the country would be chosen from among themselves. No one can seriously argue the Fact that today's Republican Party is the intellectual, moral and political heir of the Founders. Naturally, any law that facilitates the Founders' vision is eagerly embraced by all Real Americans.

Poll after poll shows America is becoming increasingly liberal on most issues, from gun control and same-sex-marriage, to pot legalization and reproductive rights, but our state legislatures are being governed further to the right, and it’s happening while nobody notices. A new report from the Guttmacher Institute shows that over the past three years, state legislatures have enacted a staggering 205 restrictions on reproductive rights. That number is especially mind-blowing when you consider that the number of anti-abortion bills enacted during the entire previous decade was a total of 189. In fact, in the first three months of 2013 alone, Republicans put forward 694 provisions related to reproductive health.
