New York Rep. Michael Grimm gained national attention when he was filmed threatening to break a reporter in half for asking an "off topic" question about his legal problems.

He recently surrendered to law enforcement and was charged with fraud for cheating on his restaurants taxes to the tune of about a million dollars. He is also charged with hiring undocumented workers.

His nefarious deeds did not stop when he was elected to office. He kept an FBI cell phone registered to Michael (Mikey Suits) Garabaldi, a name Grimm used when he was undercover for the FBI. Apparently he used this phone for official business that he did not want tracked. He also received mail addressed to Michael Garabaldi. The FBI has been investigating him for extortion, money laundering and violating federal election law.

But he is still running for office. His campaign manager quit when donations dried up after the indictments. With no money from the GOP and no PAC money, he is running a one-man show.

Though the GOP has made it pretty clear that they want nothing to do with him, he had the gonads to crash a GOP press conference and place himself front and center among the GOP big boys.

According to Grimm, who's to blame for his woes? Why the media, of course.

This guy is as difficult to look away from as a train wreck.

Perpetually angry NY Representative Michael Grimm (R-F^ck You Buddy!) clearly is a victim of government overreach. There are so many allegedlies to these allegations, how can any of the indictment be taken seriously? Alleged tax faud, allegedly staffing his former restaurant with illegal workers, alleged lying under oath about payroll practices, alleged wire fraud, and alleged perjury.

Everyone knows that stiffing your employees AND dodging taxes, along with handing out envelopes of cash, is just the way Rethuglicons do business. C'mon! Have some cultural sensitivity people! This war on oppressed white male conservatives only continues along with the Liebruls continued assault on job creators.

Maybe he should move to Chicago where he could get elected.

Maybe he should have formed a posse of armed militiamen and had a stand-off instead?

I was trying to figure out what about Rep. Grimm made him different than the other GOP candidates... anyone? I can't seem to find it.

Let me at least break the ominous silence -- not with an answer, but with an observation. There IS a certain aura of thugginess that hangs over them. Kind of like the cloud that hangs over Joe Btfsplk ... the bad-luck guy in the old Li'l Abner comics.
