As you are aware.
Quite a few conservatives are convinced that the Kkk is the enforcement arm of obamas Democratic Party

Many also think that most democrats are committed to the communist party agenda
And that Obama is. A communist

We could judge all Muslims by your posting
Just as we could judge All conservatives by the examples I cited

I think you do not have to live on Saudi Arabia to have some very silly ideas

Huh? Hmm

We all know the KKK left the Democratic party after Johnson signed the 1964 Civil Rights act because...betrayal! and Nixon's 'Southern Strategy' cemented the Klan to the Rethuglicon party. The End.

Crickster, our Ardy is channeling WLD where apparently a disturbance in the magnetic torquefaukeen has stimulated a shitstorm of high speed grey matter slusherization.

The Liburtee Kave Dwellers are teaching Ardy about their very separate reality... Try to keep your voice down during the transferrance of secrit gnawlidge. It's the polite thing.

Hate to remind everyone but Saudi Arabia IS home to Mecca, which is to Islam what The Vatican is to Catholicism. That's not to say this senior Saudi scholar is speaking for all of Islam, but it's not like we're talking about Fred Phelps speaking for Christianity.

I think what's happening here is that modern Muslims are reluctant to rebut these fatwahs because they don't see enough solidarity.
That said, there's already one major schism, and that's the Sunnis versus the Shi'ia. So we know it's possible. There may very well be a modern breakaway from Mecca, but it's happening at glacially slow speeds right now.

That's Tuesdays and Thursdays, log. Wednesdays and Saturdays he's a communist, Mondays and Fridays a Fascist. On Sundays he's a godless/Muslim Kenyan usurper. The new schedule is in the FoxNewsletter. Don't you subscibe?

Back to Clericalisms... Jeff makes a good point. Many Muslim clerics are not "up to speed" on modern realities, so opinionating is a little behind. There is less formal structure to Islam, however, so the Vatican reference is a little too specific. There are about as many versions as there are clerics and mosques, and the divisions within Islam are not as clear as conservative/reform in Judaism or Catholic/Protestant in Christianity. The Sunni/Shia scism is about as old as Islam, however.
