I noticed that my "dead of the night" post didn't make it... sigh.

I find it interesting that he researched his responsibilities for notifying authorities.

I wondered if there was any 'ilnterstate commerce' implications for transporting a dead body.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure how I might have reacted. His 92 year old mother, who is wheelchair bound, wanted to get home, and urged him to continue. He was distraught. He was more comfortable going to authorities he knew. She was already dead, so he couldn't revive her. He was concerned with his mother's welfare. Where would you want to stop in between. AZ? OK? KS? He was probably a liberal and was afraid he'd be arrested for his political beliefs. The sad part is, he didn't have AC.
