Quote:
... Reynolds' new book, "But Enough About Me" (Putnam), is an unconventional memoir. Rather than a complete and chronological account of his life, Reynolds, the top box-office attraction for five straight years in the 1970s, worked with co-author Jon Winokur to compile chapters about people in his life, telling his own story through the often-wild tales of those around him ...

I actually like him in the movie "Smokey and the Bandit".

I remember seeing his infamous magazine spread on a lacquered drift-wood coffee table in Redondo Beach when I was a kid. I was smitten with him at that very moment.

No. I'm a hirsute lover. smile

Also when I was a kid, there was a Penthouse pictorial where there was a hairy man in a hot tube and a woman shaved his face, and then she shaved his moustache off. I wasn't so keen on the moustache shaving off part, but the shaving his face was pretty dang sexy and seared into my memory.

His best performance, in my humble opinion, was in Boogie Nights.
He should have gotten that Oscar he was nominated for.

No one ever took Burt Reynolds seriously. Possibly with good reason.

Once Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood went to an audition early in their careers, neither got the part. They told Eastwood his Adams Apple was too big and told Reynolds he couldn't act.
Upon leaving Reynolds was heard to say to Clint..."Hey, at least I can learn to act..."
