Although I am generally averse to mixing military and civilian control, with Trump's band of idiots, it is comforting to see a military coup in motion. General/Secretary/Chief of Staff Kelly wasted no time in canning Scaramucci. Now General McMaster is cleaning house at NSC.
"National security adviser H.R. McMaster has fired top intelligence operative Ezra Cohen-Watnick from the National Security Council, though he may work elsewhere in the administration, the White House said Wednesday.
Cohen-Watnick, 31, was one of the few remaining aides in the organization hired by President Donald Trump's first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who was fired in February. Since McMaster’s arrival, he has gradually pushed out several of Flynn’s marquee hires – three of them in the past three weeks."
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
