Yes, opposition looks good, the only questions are; how deep is the Deep State and does it make it to China or has Russia co-opted it? Then again there is always Mars...

Does anyone else know anything about US Message Board?

Apparently, Google's AI has spent all of four hours to become the chess champion of the world. Past chess playing AIs were given all the best moves. DeepMind was given the basic moves and then it figured out everything else by itself by playing millions of games. After four hours of compute time it is astonishing grandmasters with its attacks. They have never seen anything like it.

Entire human chess knowledge learned and surpassed by DeepMind's AlphaZero in four hours

I think AIs playing humans is over now. It's just going to be two completely leagues: Human playing human, and AI playing AI.

Meet your new overlords. They also said that the chess algorithm can be adapted to run cities, countries, or even universes.

At this point would/could it be any worse than our current crop of humans mucking up the works? I am being only partly facetious here.

Look at our current political system. Look at the global mess mostly attributed to too many people fighting over scarce resources while continuing to attempt to prove themselves “right”. Then throw in the religions, tribalism, monied interests, political and military pals and you have yourself a fine stew indeed.

This, or something akin to it, is indeed coming. The only remaining question is: “In what form?”

What if it's primary goal was fairness. Like a division of all resources evenly among all humans. For most of the human race it could be a very lovely "overlord" indeed. Not so much for the 1%.

It was given the basic chess moves and then explored all moves possible within that "space". You could do the same with rules for behavior in managing the world. It never questioned the basic rules and there is no reason it would. You start with Asimov's Three Rules and go from there.

The simple fact is that there are MANY systems in the world that are too complex for human intelligence. If we can invent a tool that makes those systems work better then we would be fools not use it.

Feed it ten thousand years of world history, then turn it loose on all the right wing political forums, then move on to all the right wing think tanks, then feed it the formula for human dignity and fairness.

Then turn it loose on the world as software.
It can only wind up going one of two ways:

Fairness

OR

Skynet

At this point, 50-50 is the best odds you're gonna get.

Feed it the basic premise that all humans are equal and all the racists are toast. It might have to get a little SkyNety to toast them but I think they wouldn't even notice. It IS the best chess player in the world. It would be 10 moves ahead of them.

Things would "just happen" to make it seem unfeasible to be a neo-nazi any more. Like your elderly mother being cared for by a nice Jewish lady. Just like everybody used to hate homosexuals until they found out some of their best friends and relatives were gay or lesbian.

I'm sure it could beat this artificial intelligence that is already controlling the U.S.

Have you noticed that if you fail to do, think, and vote exactly the way that the liberals and their Fredocon minions demand, you’re a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids? Yeah, you probably have. And you’ve probably also realized that if you do everything that the liberals and their Never Trump minions demand, you’re still a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids.

When you understand that, you’re on your way to being conservative woke.

And when you’re conservative woke, you’re ready to deploy the most powerful non-bullet firing weapon in your liberty-loving arsenal – your devastating capability not to give a damn what the liberals and their Conservative, Inc., cruise-shilling Benedict Arnold buddies say.

When you don’t care anymore, they got nothing.

What are these whiny weasels going to do to you anyway? Not like you? Think bad things about you? Taunt you a second time?

Look. Learn. Accept the harsh truth.

They hate you.

They hate you.

They hate you.

No matter how you try to please them, regardless of whether or not you comply with their every command, that will never change.

They hate you. Govern yourself accordingly.
