I suspect dispensaries will just stop bothering to qualify all of their medical marijuana users after the first. Why should they bother? They can sell everything to recreational users and everyone 21 and over is a legal recreational user. Every medical user 21 and over IS a recreational user as well.

I predict very hard times for medical marijuana doctors now. Their business is going to drop like a rock. Some home-growers may still want medical marijuana letters because the restrictions on growing are different. But would police even bother with a home-grower who has too much weed in his locked cabinet? How would they even know? Nobody wants to make a issue of it because you can still attract the attention of the feds.

Perhaps the only good thing to come out of the last election was that medical marijuana passed here in FLoriduh. Cities, counties, and the state legislature have really balked about implementing it.

Sort of makes you realize just what sort of stuffy, up tight, out of touch, people are running our local governments. You might think of AG Sessions as being sort of extreme, maybe even an outlier of sorts....No. Jeff Sessions is pretty much a clone of every elected official in the South. Our legislature decided that medical marijuana users would not actually be allowed to smoke it. It has to be procured in some non-smokeable form. And so far they've pretty much decided that it can't be sold in cities with schools or churches and counties are pretty skeptical about licensing it too. That's all working it's way through the courts as Florida bureaucrats are getting their heads wrapped around the fact that voters changed the Florida Constitution.
Eventually they'll come to terms with it and we can start talking about recreational use.

On another note I've just discovered pre-filled cannabis vape cartridges. Oh MY!!!

Historic day as recreational cannabis sales begin in California

Brooke Edwards Staggs, Emily DeRuy, and Lisa M. Krieger
The Cannifornian
January 1, 2018

Quote:
Celebrating a major shift in cultural attitudes about cannabis — or just looking to enjoy the right to get high without legal entanglements — Californians lined up at dispensaries up and down the state Monday morning to be among the first to purchase recreational cannabis, more than a year after voters passed Prop. 64.

In the pre-dawn darkness at KindPeoples collective in Santa Cruz, a line of 80 people snaked around the building before doors opened. The first sale – a eighth of a gram of indica flower called ‘Nine Pound Hammer’ – was made, to resounding applause, to UC-Santa Cruz professor of Sociology and Legal Studies emeritus Craig Reinarman, 69,whose research has focused on drug policy in America.

“It feels great. It is long overdue,” Reinarman said. “Cannabis prohibition was conceived in fraud, spread by racist fears full of misinformation and myths. And now the law is finally catching up with the culture and people.”

And vaping is technically NOT smoking! So they are going to have an interesting time with that.

Our dispensaries also have a lot of candy edibles like gummi worms with a low uniform dose in each one.

Hold on to your hats. AG Jeff Sessions, AKA the angry elf, is rolling back Obama's hand's-off policy regarding enforcement of federal pot laws. He hasn't said they'd begin enforcing the laws, but he could at any time start doing it.

Bah humbug! Liberals in a blue state are having fun, making money, and paying lots of taxes, We gotta stop that!

I thought thuglicons were all for states' rights. Is it just in cases of voter rights, abortion and not having to serve LGBT or people of color?

I just emailed both of my state's Senators to do something about this:

Quote:
Dear Senator Harris,
DEA policy on medical marijuana is based on the lie that it has no medical use. This is obviously untrue, with countless cases of people who have been helped by medical marijuana. From children with seizure disorders to Iraq and Afghanistan vets with PTSD, it is helping so many people. Please introduce or support legislation that ends this lie. Without it, marijuana would probably be a Class 4 drug, available through any physician's prescription.

Feel free to copy and email your self, to your Senators and Representatives. I bet most of Congress would actually go along with this, if such a bill ever got to the floor, because medical marijuana is popular now.

I just sent an email to Senator Gardner of Colorado to ask him to support legislation that says there ARE legitimate medical uses for marijuana. He's not my Senator, but he's mighty pissed at AG Sessions right now for going back on his word at his confirmation hearing. Gardner said he is willing to do anything to stop Sessions. This would have a major effect.

I urge you all to do the same.

Eso presentaría un pequeño problema. Si uno pone a los productores estadounidenses fuera del negocio, se enfrentarán a lo inevitable:
