Reasons People Lie When They Donít Need To - Psychology Today.

This may seem like an odd place to put this, but y'all know why it's here. Lying can be a pathology, the go-to for certain personality types. Of course, our current White House occupant is the most relevant example of the "pathological" liar. But understanding the basis for this pathology is relevant to our treatment of him.

"Believe it or not, their lying makes some sense, when you look at it through their eyes." So let's try that:
Quote:
The lie does matter ... to them. The number one reason people lie when it just doesnít matter is because they actually do think it matters.
Remember Sean Spicer's first press conference? So many people wondered why he would so insistently prevaricate over something so obvious. It wasn't really him, it was his boss. Unless you acknowledge that he lied to avoid being immediately fired. Here are some others:
Telling the truth feels like giving up control.
Itís not a lie to them.
They want it to be true.

Don't these all sounds familiar? So, legitimate query: Why is a psychological exam not part of the mandatory physical?

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Congress needs to make a mental exam a part of the physical exam. With all of the fast food that Trump eats (McDonalds, KFC), I cannot believe that 71 year old man is physically healthy. Hmm

What will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, I wonder.

Pretty soon some poll that tells all the Congressional Republicans they are going to be out of a job if they keep supporting him. Then they'll act right quick!
