SANTA ANA >> A speeding car struck a median and flew into the second floor of a building Saturday night, remaining lodged into a dental office, authorities said.

The white sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on French Street when the accident occurred in the 300 block of E. 17th Street, Santa Ana Police said in a news release.

I saw this, and I've been trying to find some information as to why the car was driving so fast. It appears that it was launched merely by hitting a curb on a slight incline.

I'm not saying that all of Santa Ana qualifies as a cesspool, but the bizarre news stories that come out of Santa Ana never fail to amaze me.

A: He had a massive toothache and was late for his dentists appointment.

Also check out the security camera footage. Itís hilarious. A city bus passes by not two seconds after the car has launched and has empaled itself through the wall of the dentist's building. The bus never breaks stride nor even attempts to slow down.

Gotta stay on schedule, no?

You gotta admit, the Santa Ana Building Inspectors are doing a helluva job. That's pretty sturdy construction that can hold a flying car in place without crumbling or letting the car further into the building! They should get that same construction company to come back and fix it.
