I sort of think this should have been posted on the "what it will take to curb the president" thread.

Now that the state's mediaFox News has attacked Trump's giant gas bag of lies, which media outlet can he tout as the sole arbiter of truth?

Geeze. Hope everybody caught his pathetic/insane call-in to "Fox and Friends" a couple of days ago. Watching the hosts squirm and try to get away is way priceless. Has the "Trump's not heavy; he's our brother" spirit gone out of the Foxes?

Now THAT just might put the old bit right in the president's mouth. Then we could just pull back on the reins and try to remember not to let that particular nag get the bit between his teeth again.

A horsey metaphor for a horse's patootie.

Let me be frank: I don't like Cavuto, mostly because I find him smug and wrong on most topics. Like most Fox "personalities", he promotes false narratives and supports cockamamie economic principles - but, then, so do most business "journalists". But, unlike many of his Fox colleagues, he has principles, which is what led him to jump from the Trump train. And, boy did he jump.

I am a bit skeptical. It could be Cavuto has no direct access to Mr Trump and only has TV coms. Mr Trump runs the administration like a TV reality show so it could make sense.

Maybe, or maybe he's just hedging his bets. Trump's gonna go down in flames at some point. Those who support him the most will be the ones most hurt when it happens. And those who have videotape distancing themselves from him early on will keep their jobs and get raises.
