CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Three-year-old twins Zyler and Kadyn Sharpe scurried around the boys and girls clothing racks of a narrow consignment store filled with toys. Zyler, wearing rainbow leggings, scrutinized a pair of hot-pink-and-purple sneakers. Kadyn, in a T-Rex shirt, fixated on a musical cube that flashed colorful lights. At a glance, the only discernible difference between these fraternal twins is their hair — Zyler’s is brown and Kadyn’s is blond.

Is Zyler a boy or a girl? How about Kadyn? That’s a question their parents, Nate and Julia Sharpe, say only the twins can decide. The Cambridge, Mass., couple represent a small group of parents raising “theybies” — children being brought up without gender designation from birth. A Facebook community for these parents currently claims about 220 members across the U.S.

Millenials are a confused lot. I've got one and I've seen all this up close. They don't know exactly what sex they are or even which one they want to be. They're not certain of their childrens genders either apparently.
They like to change their names a lot too. I was recently informed that my kids friend Dev would henceforth be known as Willow. Her real name is Sarah. Sarah/Dev/Willow prefers non gendered pronouns too. But they and them are plural pronouns so anyone not in on the joke is totally confused about who or what the feck they are talking about.

I don't care if your gay. I don't care if you're trans. Present yourself as a male and I will call you sir no matter what you're packing in your pants. Present as a female and I'll call you ma'am.
But if you can't even figure out for yourself what you are don't ask me to pretend you're a sexless doll with smooth skin down there.

I figure this will blow over after a few more years when they actually grow up and have to get on with their lives.

Yeah, this whole gender-less thing goes right out the window when you have to step up and declare what it is you want. Obviously, any perspective partner has to know what kind of tackle you are hauling before they can commit to having sex with you. Nobody is going to date you because they like your face without knowing what's in your pants.

Any combination of genitals, orientation, and maybe trans operative stage is fine. You just have to say: "This is me. I like X (whatever X is). Do you want me?"
