As I've watched the Manafort trial unfold, I have come to appreciate just why Trump is freaking out so much. Mueller's team is demonstrating, publicly, how to take down an oligarch. The parallels to Trump are just too apparent.

Like Manafort, Trump is ostentatious in his profligate spending, has dubious sources of income and banking habits, hides his business in a web of shell companies, has a reputation for chintziness (except on himself), and hides an utterly corrupt nature under a veneer of chumminess. You can see in the meticulous care and attention to detail how the "Trump enterprise" can be taken apart in a public trial.

What Mueller’s Manafort Case Means for the Trump Battle to Come - Bloomberg. Which is bigger, the Carr fire in California, or the dumpster fire that is Manafort in Virginia?
