Swamp creatures on trial. First, Manafort,
now, New York Republican Rep. Chris Collins indicted on insider trading charges - CNN, soon Cohen and Stone. What do they all have in common?

They all said at one time or another ... "I am innocent" and under their breath "please Mr Trump give me a pardon"

NO COLLUSION

Actually, pardoning cronies IS collusion. But of course, not a crime. On the other hand, pardoning someone who is involved in a conspiracy with you is certainly a High Crime that would be on the list of impeachment offenses. It fits the definition perfectly: Using your high elected office to do something unethical.

Corrupting History, too!

Ainsley Earhardt, host on Fox & Friends said "when we defeated communist Japan" in talking about why America is great. I guess fascists are now "communists" now that Trump is BFF with Putin? I should put some Orwell quote in here about governments redefining words so the people who have to use them think the way the government wants them to.

Or was it just a case that Fox puts morons on TV as opinion show hosts?

Fox puts morons on TV as opinion show hosts.

Morons, fools, clowns, and frauds. And some of them are probably good people.

She is very good looking. Kinda feeds the stereotype of the dumb blond, though. No reason you can't be a nice person, and still be dumb as a post.

In light of today's events, and the historic resonance (47 years ago today, John Dean exposed the "enemies list"),I thought it would be instructive to remind folks what Nixon's articles of impeachment were:
Article I alleged in part:

On June 17, 1972, and prior thereto, agents of the Committee for the Re-election of the President committed unlawful entry of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in Washington, District of Columbia, for the purpose of securing political intelligence. Subsequent thereto, Richard M. Nixon, using the powers of his high office, engaged personally and through his close subordinates and agents, in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry; to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful covert activities.

Article II alleged in part that Nixon:

repeatedly engaged in conduct violating the constitutional rights of citizens, impairing the due and proper administration of justice and the conduct of lawful inquiries, or contravening the laws governing agencies of the executive branch and the purposed of these agencies.

Article III alleged in part that Nixon:

failed without lawful cause or excuse to produce papers and things as directed by duly authorized subpoenas issued by the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives on April 11, 1974, May 15, 1974, May 30, 1974, and June 24, 1974, and willfully disobeyed such subpoenas.

Well, we've got Trump on Articles I and II. House and Senate subcommittees have gone out of their way NOT to issue any subpoenas, in order to protect him. That may change in November when subcommittees change hands.
