As much as I'd like to join in with you guys celebrating Democratic victory two months before the election I'm just not feeling it.

The reality is, since 2000 (with the exception of 2004) more voters voted AGAINST the GOP platform 4 out of 5 times.

Keep in mind that the GOP has to gerrymander and create voter ID laws to win elections because they are incompetent at governing, and their platform sucks because it's only for the rich. Hmm

And even some of the rich folks think the GOP's platform sucks, mostly because they like to actually be able to go out in public and not get kidnapped or contract TB. Some of the many problems that are increased by income inequality.

Despite our assets and income levels, a lot of us LIKE Rule of Law, regulated businesses, fire and police protection, interstate highways, Social Security, etc.

Still and yet, they control all three branches of government and most of the states, counties, and cities. And they're about to lock down the Supreme Court for the foreseeable future too.

While they might not like the GOP agenda, they aint big fans of Democrats either.

Trouble is...Democrats live in cities. Republicans are everywhere else.
Every election map is a big splotch of red with a few blue dots. That's the demographics problem that plagues Democrats.

Those certainly didn't hurt but they weren't the definitive cause. Read the rest of my post...Democrats have a demographics problem too.

They are concentrated in the cities and on the coasts. Hillary won by 3 million votes. All cast in California.

It's not just how many votes are cast, it's also where they are cast.
More votes will be cast in urban areas than in the rural districts so more will be cast for Democrats than Republicans but more Republicans will get elected. See...?
