Today Obama gave a speech at a school in Illinois. It lasted a bit more than an hour and was a dandy (we all know he gives a good speech). This time, however, he didn't hew to the regular Democratic civilized behavior. Instead he choose to name names and attack. I was happily surprised and I hope the rest of the Dems follow suit. They GOTTA FIGHT!

Anyway, it was a great speech, it went after the Jackass and also what is happening to the system. It is a GREAT start! If the rest of the Dem candidates go after their opposition they shouldn't stand a chance.

Hopefully there were some from the Right watching the speech as well.

I am 1,000-percent in agreement. Obama's departure from politics has left a void and no voice for progressives. Obama's speech yesterday, is not only what the Democrats need, but what America needs at this time to counter Russian asset Donald J Trump's lies and manipulation.

As I recall you "progressives" didn't really like Obama that much. He was a centrist, still is. What about Bernie...he never shuts up. We must do this...We can't do that...Why isn't he the voice of progressives?

One thing you gotta say for Obama, and for Bill Clinton too: They can really make a speech. If Hillary had half of Bill's abilities, she would be President now and for the next six years.

She's got twice his abilities and more. But none of his charisma. She still shoulda been prez. Donald Trump winning any election against any opponent should literally be impossible. 2016 was a fluke. If you ran that election in a million parallel universes, we are the only one that turned out like this. In all the rest Hillary won, the minimum wage immediately went to $12 and talks are underway for the expansion of Medicare, immigration reform is underway, a trillion dollar infrastructure bill has just been signed and John McCain never had cancer.
