Mr Trump is above the law. He says it. Republicans in Congress say it. And now the SC will say it.

And yet...and yet...They will become staunch protectors against presidential overreach once they are eventually forced out of power.

A democratic president would be impeached for jaywalking with raucus calls for his(or her) imprisonment at the slightest breach of protocol.
The hypocrisy is mind boggling.

My fond hope is that there are more of us than them and that we get off our butts and actually vote. This is a hard thing to get done but it has happened in the past. The problem is that, regardless of party in power, the party in power usually simply goes to far. The reaction is always the same - get rid of the ones in power and vote in the the other side. The problem, demonstrated with the jackass, is that nobody seems to actually care who, or what the other side is - just get rid of the offending group of idiots.

I am not sure what the answer is but just getting rid of, and replacing with maybe better doesn't seem to be a really better solution to the problem?

Just for the sake of conversation...where did Obama go too far? First off, I guess by being Black. And a Muslim Kenyan if you believe the majority of Republicans. A gay Muslim Kenyan married to a drag queen.

I think that's when the Republican Party turned into a cult. Remember all the lynched effigies and chimpanzee memes...boy those were the days! Good Times! For eight years they went on a gun buying frenzy and planning for a muslim race war. Hundreds have died for their fantasy of an armed and deadly society of John Birchers and more will die before they come to their senses.

Now it's socialists they're gunning for, bless their hearts! At least they're consistent. Violence is the answer to every problem.

I believe there is no chance of that ever happening. A large chunk of the electorate is stupid. How do you keep stupid people from voting?

Perhaps you think a constitutional convention wold do the job? Well ... take a look around ... we are a divided nation ... you could not present the original Constitution to a convention and get it ratified.

baby steps

Give you three guesses as to who will be writing the "new" version of the Constitution...first two guesses don't count.

HINT: The American Legislative Exchange Council has a keen interest!
A keen interest in making sure none of us low life types get a chance to meddle with ideas like "democracy".

A Constitutional Convention is something which should give every thinking citizen need to pause.
