This election may signal how deep that reality has sunk in.

And it may not. I expect it to signal that there is a lot of dissent but I don't expect it to yield much real power to make changes. Pretty much every race across the nation is neck to neck. If we win big it will be by very small numbers, there are no landslides in sight.

Will we win as big as Republicans did in 2010? They did well enough to pretty much cut the nuts right off Barack Obama. That's what I want to see happen to Trump.

My wife and I were pondering this as we prepare for our cross country trip to Oklahoma. Depending on the outcome of the elections, the mood could go many different ways. If the elections tip massively in favor of the Republicans, the mood in the South is likely to be both jubilant and perhaps a bit vengeful, if they suspect "traitors" in their midst. Naturally, that means the wife and I will have to be on our best behavior. Perhaps we should both wear MAGA hats every time we stop to eat?

If it's a landslide in favor of the Dems, perhaps we should STILL wear MAGA hats at the diner, just in case folks down there are bitter.

Landslide? Nah. I think it's safe to say that Democrats will do better than Republicans Tuesday, it remains to be seen how much better but the senate is not on the table so Life will go on as usual.
Wherever you go the population is almost evenly divided into Red Caps and Blue Caps. Folks will just take it in stride and be glad it's over for another two years.

Barbara Streisand's new single is a response to Trump, Don't Lie To Me

The video is filled with Trump imagery.

Kemp's office launches probe of Georgia Democratic Party ahead of historic election (CNN). The Real question about Kemp is: is he more dishonest or more incompetent?

Kemp's office only brought the Democratic party into the story because the Dems forwarded the information. A VOTER reported a vulnerability in the outward-facing voter registration page. He reported it to the voter-fraud hotline that the Dems run. They sent it to a cybersecurity firm to investigate, and the security firm forwarded it to the Secretary of State's office. Kemp's "announcement" is an outright fraud, knowing and intentional. The underlying concern about vulnerability goes to the rank incompetence Kemp has shown in office. It may also have exposed the method by which his office is suppressing the vote.

I'll admit, I'm as nervous as a cat today. I have great hopes and low expectations. I'll be self-medicating starting about 3 o'clock when the first returns start coming in. I've been scarred since 2016, but I'm hoping the healing can begin, soon.

Since I'm in the east I suppose I'll have to wait til six o'clock to hear any news worth hearing. Vape pen is charged and full, self medication has begun. I hope to go to bed happy tonight.
I don't expect to.

High voter turnout here in upstate NY. Polling centers running out of 'I Voted' shaming stickers by mid afternoon in places both urban and rural.

A Republican today told me the high turnout looks like a red wave...
