Yep, he has come a long, long way from failing in Arizona. I have been preaching nuclear for a very long time and believe it solves a lot of very big problems with absolute safety. I will, hopefully, mean we get rid of the existing pieces of very dangerous technology and replace it all with more efficient, more safe, less expensive, technology.

I am, incidentally, against the huge windmills. I have been told that the bird slaughter is huge and ongoing.

Housecats kill far more birds than windmills ever will. You probably are resposible for killing more chickens every year than the average windmill kills.

Fusion is science fiction.

Governments are investing in renewables because there is no payoff with nuclear power. It's a moneypit that will eat Gate's billion like a frog eats a fly. It would eat all his billions and not even belch up a moment of hope.

Bezos wants to invest in going to Mars I've heard..another money pit for a billionaire to idly throw his loose change at.

The ongoing Fukushima crisis was the death knell for nuclear power. Fusion is technically unfeasible and will remain so into the foreseeable future. Fossil fuel is cheap and plentiful.

An investment in geothermal energy production would likely yield far better payoffs.
