This is yet another whine of mine about democratic responses. This one continues to drive me up a wall. The Dems seem to continue to be above it all. The latest Trump thing is, apparently, not spending money authorized by congress. He was, for instance, allotted money for the wall last year - not spent. The military (in this case the Marines) were alloted money to recover from a hurricane that caused massive damage - not spent. Money was allotted for increasing border security, namely more judges - not spent. Money was allotted for Puerto Rico - not spent. There seems to be a long list of this stuff. I suspect he is not allowing this money to be spent so he can use it for different purposes. Law suits have been promised but do not happen, responses to this and that (southern border is a good example), from the Left are muted.

there may be some quibble with my stuff above but the general trend is true and going on right now. The marine general in charge is even on tv pointing out their problem. Still, the Dems basically remain silent.

As far as I can tell, for instance, only two Democrats have ventured into Fox News space (Buttigieg and the governor of Washington state). I guess the Democratic plan for that is to certainly remain above it all in this case!

Just saying - If the left is going to stand a chance they gotta fight! I know, some are, but its really time for them to, at least, seem to be actually doing it.

So Democrats are refusing their invitations to appear on Fox News?

Where they will be treated like space aliens at best? Those are shark infested waters with crocodiles on the shore. And snakes in the trees.

Ya think that's the best platform to get their message across?

And by "fighting" you mean going on television and talking about issues? I don't want my elected civil servants wasting valuable time chatting with network bobbleheads about nothing in particular.

I want them in meetings getting things done. This isn't a reality show.
Democrats took control of the house less than three months ago. Trump is not an unpopular president. His approval ratings are about the same as Obama's at this point in his presidency. You can't just snap your fingers and make him go away. Party Apparatchik Robert Mueller just handed Trump a great big platter full of "not guilty, just like you said sir!"

Just like I said he would.

The Democratically controlled house can beg the Trump Administration for anything they want. Trump is not going to release anything that is any way harmful to him. It will take the courts years to work through the thousands of lawsuits and when they finally demand that Trump release the information....he will still refuse!
You think you gonna see his taxes before the 2020 election? Think again. You think House investigators will ever see the Mueller report?
Ixnay.

@)@)(< that's capital 2020) is a long long way away. Horses aren't even in the gates yet, we're still feeling their legs and looking at their teeth and their pedigrees. A few jockeys are taking some warm up laps...
Relax, have a cigar, pour yourself a whisky. It's gonna be a long long afternoon.

I never claimed it was the best platform, only that it was a platform. Not only that but its a platform in enemy territory. The Republicans, for instance, will appear wherever they can as often as they can. But, obviously, not the dems, they are more comfortable preaching to the choir (with a couple of exceptions. Both of which, incidentally, said they had no problems nor assaults).

I also never suggested that elected civil servants appear, only that Dems should appear and, in current context, those running for office. I would also like to see any sitting civil servant to also appear. If they can preach to the choir, on TV, then I see nothing wrong in preaching to the ignorant as well. Sorry you don't agree. I think spreading the word to be important just as missionaries feel about heathen tribes. I sure as hell support Fox showing a Dem debate as that would be a great forum to preach to the ignorant as well.

As far as the Mueller report is concerned. We will see how it plays out. I do, however, admire your ability to speculate - just like a professional TV talking head! (credit where credit is due)

The Democratically controlled house is begging for nothing and are actually starting with subpoenas. Eventually we are going to learn a lot about the Mueller report and a lot more from the variety of investigations going on in the house.

In the fullness of time...................

Speculation is easy. I aim for accurate predictions. I dabble in the occult and also spout mindless hyperbole on occasion...

Oh hey look!

House Democrats Finally Ask For Trump’s Tax Returns Limk

Mnuchin is reviewing the request for legality...this should be a hoot to watch! But it will ultimately be harmless to Trump. His tax returns are nothing but a pack of lies anyway. The money laundering business is run separately and not subject to taxes...

huh...

Grandpa's "Medicare for all" sounded all right to fox news audiences.

It's almost as if politics could be about real proposals and ideas that could have broad popular support.

Just a thought......

Fox audience down with Medicare for all
