I was just wondering if the Democratic house has any plans to impeach any federal judges. I was thinking, specifically, of those judges which flunked bar approval and were appointed by jackass.

That sounds like a reasonable idea but I think it has to wait for 2020. But the number who were rated as "non-qualified" is actually pretty small. Finding "Trump judges" is actually a lot of work. Most of those confirmed have actually been recommended by places like The Heritage Foundation and The Federalist Society, so they are actually conservative judges, rather than Trump loyalists. That's why Trump keeps on losing in court, even when he comes before judges he nominated. These are typically law and order types, who are not amused by his stupid legal theories.

I realize there are not a lot, but, still.............

When all of this is done, and Jackass is also done (one way or another) there is going to be a LOT to do just to clean up the incredible messes. My hope, in that regard, especially if the left holds both houses, is to do what is necessary without a whole lot of huffing and puffing. This means that folks gotta understand that there are always different views of anything so they gotta find the mythic common ground. If they can do that they will also be setting example for the other side - and the entire nation! I suspect I am talking just plain old common sense which has tended to take flight on a regular basis, perhaps the Dems can change that - despite of all the talk of fighting, purity, etc.

In the fullness of time...............

If Yertle the Turtle does away with the Senate super-majority rule, then the next congress can fix everything Trump broke with no trouble at all. A good first pass would be one bill that says: "Everything Trump did is rescinded."

Assuming the next congress is Democratic...which is certainly not guaranteed.

Trump is not an unpopular president, his policies are not unpopular, his cabinet choices and judicial appointments are not unpopular. He is loved by Republicans everywhere and is a hero to right-wingers worldwide.

We say he's wrecking things...They say he's fixing things.

The more Democrats and the media hate on him, the more Republicans love him. I can pretty much guarantee that we will see no impeachments between now and 2020 and probably none after that.

Mueller saw to that.

First (and again) we have no idea what Mueller found out or what others are doing after Mueller spun stuff off. I do know that the Republicans of the senate are going to have to do a LOT of quick footwork to defend their actions in support of Jackass (hopefully). The simple fact that Jackass has now figured out how to simply go around them by appointing "acting" heads of agencies one might think would upset them but obviously not. I saw a list of "acting" heads. I am no longer sure he even has a cabinet!

As far as I can tell the Republicans are so craven that they are actually willing to not only support Jackass but allow him to do clever things to make their jobs, that they will do anything to keep, irrelevant (in this particular case "advise and consent") The part I really don't understand that the Dems seem to be ignoring this one (and a few more - bigger fish?)

Jackass is now, evidently, encouraging his appointed minions to actually break the law! The Republicans, again, don't seem to think that is wrong either.

I suspect one could actually create a list of these previously offensive/illegal behaviors now actively supported by Republicans.
One can only wonder?

He found out there was no collusion.
You're a big fan of simple facts and that's one you really need to face.

Donald Trump has committed no crimes.

Meuller had access to pretty much everything. He found nothing that he felt a sitting president should be charged with.

No one is going to take Trump out of office except the voters in 2020.

Yup, the American people need to Impeach that fat, corrupt, sonofabitch in November 2020.

I was thinking tonight, and I am not a Mayor Pete fan by any stretch of the imagination, but what "if" he were the Dem nominee - just imagine the Presidential debates:

Mayor Pete: I served our Country, Fatass over there faked bones spurs.

Mayor Pete: I am committed to my husband, Fatass over there has cheated on everyone of his wives.

Mayor Pete: I'm an honest broker, Fatass over there lies 9, 10 times a day.

Mayor Pete: My husband and I go to Church every Sunday; Fatass over there reads "Two Corinthians."

But there is a reason there is evidence for and against Obstruction of Justice in the report: That's evidence the House could use to impeach Trump. And that's obviously how Mueller sees his role. Not to indict a sitting President, but to supply Justice and Congress with all the evidence. Even Barr said the report does not exonerate Trump.

I think every speech from the Democrat candidate should begin with

if you want a president who lies ... vote for Mr Trump
if you want a president who sexually assaults women ... vote for Mr Trump
if you want a president who believes he is above the law ... vote for Mr Trump

yes the list is long but it frames Mr Trump for what he is and he can not refute it ... he can only lie about it
