Interesting TED talk about turning desert sand into productive farmland: TED Talk Researchers from Norway figured out how to make nano-particle clay they could dissolve in water and just dump on sand. It penetrates deeply, so then you can add fertilizer and seed. Their process takes 7 hours from sand to a planted wheat field! The fungal mat you need for most plant growth thrives in this stuff. I am stoked. Add this to Loggy's biochar process, and we have a sustainability system. (Just add sun.)

Yesterday, Israel denied two American Congresswomen entry into their country showed how weak politically they are, after Donald "Sexual Predator" Trump Tweeted that Israel do so when Trump falsely stated these two Congressmen hate "Jews and Israel." When you pay attention to propaganda, and not the truth, this is what happens. Israel lowered themselves to Donald Trump's level. Israel made themselves look like fools in the eyes of the world for following Trump's suggestion.

Rick, thanks for your post. I woke up thinking about this/listening to an NPR item.
As I've read/understood this, the president suggested/urged a foreign government to ban members of our Congress, Reps Omar and Talib. Tlalib's ban has been lifted on humanitarian reasons.
Has this happened before? Is it as unusual as it feels? Does this impinge on the representation of the Congresswoman's constituents?
(I can google this if someone will help me figure out the search string...)

There’s still the problem to be solved of how to cause the economic machine of Capitalism to get behind these particular kinds of solutions. Can we rely on the profit motive? Wall Street? Investment banks?

Bibi TrumpNetanyahu is as embarrassing for Israel as Trump is for the United States, and both risk their country's future to score cheap political points. I have searched, mellow, and can't find any precedence for Trump's action.

Okay folks, many of you know I've been actively trying to recruit old and new members to the Rant. I need your help on this. If you're a member of some other forums, try luring your favorite liberals and conservatives over here. Stress the fact that we're more civil, but also more FUN.

Proud Boys and Rose City Antifa I wonder if the Russian Trolls sponsored both events.
