Payroll tax holiday won't help people who get laid off, or people who are contractors like my SIL who is a dental hygienist, or anybody working on gig jobs,

Unless the gig is Amazon delivery driver. I hear they are very busy, but I just got something overnight.

What we need is housing for all, so they can be isolated. And health care for all. I'm sure Trump would rather poor people just die, but it doesn't work like that: Unvaccinated poor people just make it a lot more dangerous for rich people. Don't forget, you can get drug-resistant TB from a beggar on the way to the opera. And you can't buy covid-19 vaccine at any price.

Republicans are doing their best to claim this is all a democratic hoax, and now they are going to die en masse from denial of reality.

According to Terry Gross' guest on Fresh Air yesterday, the Trump administration turned down the WHO's testing methods to go their own way. It took weeks to develop a new US test and wasted valuable time.

The best way to head of an epidemic is to get out in front of it and test everybody from the very beginning.

Hmm

We think our concern is with medically-resistant diseases, but in reality the problem is with knowledge-resistant leaders

The coronavirus is coming to you.
Itís coming at an exponential speed: gradually, and then suddenly.
Itís a matter of days. Maybe a week or two.
When it does, your healthcare system will be overwhelmed.
Your fellow citizens will be treated in the hallways.
Exhausted healthcare workers will break down. Some will die.
They will have to decide which patient gets the oxygen and which one dies.
The only way to prevent this is social distancing today. Not tomorrow. Today.
That means keeping as many people home as possible, starting now.

No President has ever been quite as disdainful of knowledge, as indifferent to facts, as untroubled by his benightedness than Trump.

Trump has no desire to acquaint himself with most issues, let alone master them.

Hmm

Salt Lake City had a 5.4 quake today and sh!t just got real for Mormons.

Utah earthquake causes Angel Moroni on Salt Lake Temple to lose his trumpet

Experts agree it's because the first syllable is "trump". ROTFMOL

My money says someone already dragged it home and converted it into a bong.
