But if it's eight years till the next "emergency"...

If you leave it unconnected to the internet, it will probably be fine for emergency email and internet surfing eight years from now even with Windows 7. I just don't want to run Windows 7 actively with no security fixes at all on a daily basis. I just wouldn't store any passwords on it or try to run TurboTax!

In fact, TurboTax is my main reason for getting up off my butt and doing it right now: I downloaded the latest version, but it balks at a Windows 7 installation. You can force it, but it recommends waiting for the Windows 10 upgrade.

It appears that I will be getting the build finished and returned to me on the 21st, so I am still stuck with this old lappie for another few days.

I was amazed when Fatso called himself a "son of a bytch." The novelty of him telling the truth was surprising.

Some days I think we really do get better news coverage up here in Canada. I haven't seen this one in the U.S. news outlets for some reason. wink

Bible on which U.S. senators swear impartiality for Trumpís impeachment trial bursts into flames

Hope you're all well dug in (or at least getting dug out) for the next few weeks.

Good chuckle, bible burst into flames. Another reason for President Donald (...) Trump* can use to not testify.

*Impeached

Not really that much snow, only about 7 inches, but wet, step on it and slip glaore.
