Hey, my Pulse-Ox is at 90 or 91 right now.
I will probably be going in tomorrow.
I cannot just take off and go without making arrangements.
Karen now pretty much needs someone around all day.

Remember we have a heart patient here, Daryl.
We have an oximeter
So if I leave, I need to have someone there for her.

Who is going to take care of your family if you pull a Reader Rant Administrator. Hmm

This is starting to sound a lot like the list of former (and now deceased) drummers for Spinal Tap.
It's 94 this morning and tipping into 95.
But yes I AM indeed going to the doctor.
And yes, I probably do have pneumonia.
And just because I am feeling a little bit better this morning doesn't mean I will skip seeing the doc.

(SIDE NOTE)

By the way, Daryl's LIFETIME BASELINE pulse-ox has always been between (are you all sitting down?) 76 and 84 tops.
Every time he has had his vitals taken by a new nurse, or sees a new doctor, he draws a crowd, because they are amazed he is up and around and "somewhat" active.

So yes, I am well aware of the importance of going below 90...for normal folks who aren't born with half a working ticker.
Cardiac issues have been a part of our life ever since Daryl was born.

And here's a doozy...Daryl does have incredible physical strength, he just lacks stamina. He has helped me move refrigerators and other heavy stuff in the past. The trick is, we have to stop every so often because he runs out of steam. But that big boy can lift.

No, he has never had home oxygen although that may become a reality at some point, but none of his cardiologists have ever prescribed it, not yet anyway. It's been discussed and they prefer holding off as long as possible.

And his cardiologists have all been top of the line, from Cleveland Clinic to Arkansas Children's Hospital to Dallas Children's Hospital to UCLA.

Yes, ACH is a world class operation, surprisingly.

You should have had a pneumonia shot at 60.

Did you get your flu shot?

Drink lots of Lo Han Kuo beverage(Monk fruit tea), it's an old Chinese herbal remedy and it does wonders for your lungs. It's dirt cheap at most Asian markets or you can get it at aMAZON.

Is that a one-time shot, like chicken pox, or an annual shot? Hmm

It's two different vaccines, that you get with some time in between. One protects against a bunch of strains.
The other for some different strains. For most people, no repeats are necessary. If you are at risk for lung or immune problems, your doc will tell you to repeat them every 5 yeas.r

Current polling says the good guys lose Wisconsin to Fatass, but we win Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Hmm
