It's no surprise, when I try to do a reading on Trump's second term my Tarot cards begin to smolder, the bones try to re-assemble themselves and run away when I throw them, the scrying glass shows only what appears to be an enormous landfill covered with scurrying rats.

Evangelical prayers have been re-routed to The Great Adversary via Donald Trump and the end is nigh...

Here’s a strange bit of news. Tucker Carlson has just done a whopping mad rant against the EPA and Atrazine and the righties are all incensed over how we are being poisoned. Even that crazed actor Alex Jones is foaming at the mouth over it.

Yet there is no awareness at all that the Trump administration is responsible for the EPA turning away from environmental protection to the dismantling of regulations as desired by the chemical industries.

Will there be a cataclysmic event when the factual matter and antimatter collide?

Nah... they’ll find a way to excuse Jesus Trump.

What? Are you feeling ill?

Stupid chest cold that turns into bronchitis if you look at it funny. I'm back at work now, but 4 people out of my team are now out sick.

You tell people "if you're sick, don't bring your plague in, you won't be punished for taking the time off," and nobody believes you. Then we all get the damn thing.

Also, Jeffrey, I put you on blast on the other board (down in the penalty box) for cheap laughs. Check it out.

Ugh... it's a real pet peeve of mine...

From the Harvard Business Review, 2004:
Quote:
The two Journal of the American Medical Association studies, for example, found that the on-the-job productivity loss resulting from depression and pain was roughly three times greater than the absence-related productivity loss attributed to these conditions. That is, less time was actually lost from people staying home than from them showing up but not performing at the top of their game.

Although the Japanese take this to its feasible extreme...

Frontline is out with a two-part series (4 hrs) called America Divided

It starts off in 2008 with the election of Barack Obama and goes through the racist TBagger movement as a reaction to America's first black President, and continues through the impeachment of Donald J. Trump.

Trump figures prominently in this series on division which does not make Donald Trump look at all favorable.

To sum up Donald Trump in the eyes of the producers of this Frontline documentary: Donald Trump is a fcking a--hole. smile

==============

FUN FACT: More people attended the Women's March on January 21, 2017, than attended Donald J Trump's inaugural the day before. smile

I gotta be me.

In absolutely unrelated news, my job does occasionally deliver on it's promises, and ungrateful grad student and myself have been asked to deliver a difficult technical solution in a manner that hasn't every actually been done before.

This makes me so happy I can almost forgive horrible worthless grad student for being young.

Don't do it! Youth is wasted on the young. They don't appreciate it.
