DOJ set to lower Stone sentencing recommendation that was criticized by Trump

Quote:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday is reportedly expected to change its sentencing recommendation for Roger Stone a day after telling a federal judge the Trump associate should serve between seven and nine years in prison, guidance that was sharply criticized by President Trump.

Quote:
“This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!” Trump said, sharing a message from a Daily Caller reporter about federal prosecutors’ recommendation for Stone’s prison sentence.

Is there any doubt that, now with his ownership of DOJ through William Barr, that President Donald Trump is now above the law?

I never doubted it for a minute. And I never doubted that Stone would be pardoned. Nor that Vindeman would be fired. I can't imagine why he hadn't already resigned. Unless he just wanted to stir up a little more trouble for Trump...

Three of the four prosecutors on the Roger Stone case HAVE RESIGNED after Trump forced DOJ to recommend a lighter sentence.

Story developing.

A pardon could actually be very dangerous for Stone: If he goes to prison, everybody will think that he has paid for his crimes. If he is pardoned, there are going to be people who think he deserves punishment. Considering we have 327 million people in this country with 393 million guns, I think there would be a huge target on Stone's back.

Presidents are supposed to use pardons for just causes, not to let their co-conspirator walk. Someone would kill Stone just to show Trump his pardon power is useless.

I think that three have quite the case and one has left the job completely. (could be wrong).

That being said the DOJ seems to be destroying their reputation due to Barr. Who would have guessed that he would have turned into a Trump Todie? Maybe the House Dems might consider another little adventure with impeachment? I think they already have him in contempt.

How about this? What would happen if the house actually tried to use ALL avenues to enforce their will bestowed by the constitution. So far it appears that they have no power, cannot actually get any legislation, etc. The question, I think, is rapidly starting to be akin to wondering what the hell good is the entire congress. Trump wants it gone and they are doing absolutely nothing to make anybody think that might not be a bad idea?

Clarification: I suspect you meant "quit" the case, rather than "quite" the case.

Roger Stone's balls have come back from Rigor Stoneitis and he is now demanding that the judge be disqualified from the case.

Gawl-Damn them's be some big ole balls, he has to carry them around in a dump truck.

Mobbed up as deep as ever in recorded history if you don't count Genghis Khan.
