I imagine we're gonna need a Bloomberg thread. I'd hoped voters would see through the obvious con game going on here but he's rising in the polls and will soon shut out all the opposition. If not at the polls, then at the convention...

I think you're right because I'm seeing a lot of stuff surface that I never even knew before, and I am embarrassed at even suggesting Bloomy and Bernie.

So far today alone:

1. BB on pot - - adamant refusal to legalize

2. BB on wages - - livable wage = soviet communism

3. Okay this one I think I might have seen but forgot - BB police assaults on Occupy folks

So, he may be a crypto-fasc trying to buy the Democratic Party outright.
Yeah, this is 100 percent my f****up and I will retract my position in the other thread.

Why is Bloomberg even being considered, to old (78 years old) and we do not need another Billionaire in the White House. Have we not learned from the current one.

Besides, Bloomberg and Steyer only started running when Warren started talking about a Wealth Tax. Makes both of them very suspect in my book.

Corrected Bloomberg's age had him as being younger, 77...

Maybe he'll be a flash in the pan if voters reject him as they should.

I've got a daughter, 47, married a rich man who inherited his wealth, lives in Hawaii. A Democrat. Just endorsed Boomberg.

I unfriended her without a word.

Bloomberg is because there seems to be a shortage of straight White males in the running. Not that I have anything against gays, socialists, or women running things. I just suspect middle America may not vote for them.

Of course, I didn't think they would go for a Black guy either. So take my worries with a grain of salt.

In his defense...Bloomberg would be an able administrator. He'd put a lot of things back together that Trump broke, probably appoint genuinely good people, maybe even the best people, he might even do a few things to help the poors.

But mostly he'll just keep on being Bloomberg, another rich assh*le that likes to tell people how to run their lives...a racist, a classist, a man so far removed from the "real" world that he hasn't a clue what life is like down on the streets which his shoes seldom touch.

He won't be a bad president, like Trump, but all in all he won't be much different. He'll stop construction of the wall, he'll patch up relations with our allies and cut all communications with North Korea and other belligerents. He'll run a transparent presidency.

But it's still just a trinket he's bought. A shiny plaything. Another billionaire buying himself a crown and a throne. And in four years will there be another billionaire? And another?

Actually, almost anybody could do it if they had good advisers and listened to them. In a lot of ways, it's too big a job for one man. There are so many issues and problems. That's why Presidents are supposed to appoint good people with different areas of expertise, and have their choices confirmed by the Senate.

The worst possible President is a moron who thinks he knows everything and does not believe in expertise. Trump's only area of expertise is con games, and considering his piss-poor record in court he sucks at that.

Yes I agree that he would be better than Trump...the way a blizzard is better than a hurricane. You don't lose your house and everything in it, but you're still stuck with the heat and electric down, it's negative 25 outside and you're starving. Like Greger said, another billionaire, followed by another, and another.

Buying the presidency, didn't sign up for that.
I'm still kicking myself for even trying to put two puzzle piece together now that I realize they spell DOOM.

And I realize this is a Daily Mail story, so I was sort of waiting for it to get picked up elsewhere, and yes, apparently a "source" close to the campaign hinted the news to Matt Drudge, but here it is...

Mike Bloomberg 'is considering picking Hillary Clinton as his running mate in the 2020 Democratic race to help take on Trump'

Hmmmm, elected mayor of NYC running as a Republican relying on the endorsement of Giuliani.
Pilloried his Democratic opponent for being not a friend of Rudy.
Endorsed George Bush in 2004 and contributed to McCain in 2008.

Did the Republican Party actually BUY the entire Democratic Party at a rummage sale recently?
Still waiting for suggestions on the moderate Republicans that our "moderate Democrat prezzy-dint" is going to reach out to.

Mitch seems nice...
