Palmer Report, normally known for slanting stuff themselves:

1) Mike Bloomberg leaked the fake Hillary story to distract everyone from the story today about him mistreating women.

2) One of Bloomberg’s Democratic opponents leaked it, under the belief that attaching Bloomberg to Hillary would hurt him.

3) Trump and/or the GOP leaked the story for the same reason.

But there's nothing slanted here. The author makes excellent points.

I like Bloomberg and think he can win. He is 78 years old so I also hope he will have a good vice president to fill in if he dies. As far as the person goes. He served as Mayor of New York from 2002 to 2013.
Everything he did was not great. The big deal seems to be the search and frisk thing. The think about that one was that he was not alone and people, including blacks voted him another term two times! There were others involved in that exercise and nobody is talking about that. It is, basically, the typical Democratic way to try and destroy their opponents any way they can and then, when they are through, to, in theory, forget all those bad things and almost support the very person they worked so hard to destroy. This time around there have been any number of cries to stop the infighting - that is something you can count on the Democrats to absolutely ignore.

Anyway, except for very few bad things bloomberg seems to be floating above it all. He has no problem admitting he was wrong when he was (unlike Biden). For the most part he did a good job for New York (3 full terms in a row). New York liked Bloomberg. He has never been accused of being a criminal, has a good record and says so. He is also building an organization that, apparently, is put together better, is fully staffed, ready to go, and paid through November. He has said that if he does not win the nomination he will gift said organization to the Dems. Many have said that his organization is actually better than the Democratic party currently has (which also seems to be broke).

If he wins the nomination I will vote for him (as I will vote no matter who wins the Democratic nomination). This being the case I am pretty uninterested in who wins the nod but would certainly prefer one that can actually win and Bloomberg is one of those along with Ami and Mayor Pete.

I also consider all the promises, made by Warren and Bernie to be complete lies. There is no way that stuff will get through the congress and they know it. The national debt, that will be gifted to the winner of the next election, will mean that the payment on said debt will be more than what we spend on our military OR medicare. This will virtually freeze most of any money available for grand plans and the politicians know it. My personal druthers would be for them to stop with all the promises and start talking about reality. Of course expecting any politician to do that is pie in the sky, sad, failed, wishful thinking.

I’m looking forward to his friendship to pedophiles, sexual harassment encounters, being a Republican his whole life and supporting Busch.
Then there’s his hanging out with pedophiles but, like JGW says, others were involved too, so there’s that.

And no one has cast a single vote for him yet. Everybody else has been duking it out for a year and more.

We'll know a lot more after Super Tuesday.

Super Tuesday is going to be interesting. I didn't mention the age thing for Bloomberg because, even if he gets to the nod I don't think he will serve for long. What is more likely is that he will pick somebody to support. I don't think, at 78, that he really wants to run the nation. What he obviously wants to do is to defeat Trump and I don't think he cares how it gets done so much as making sure it gets done. I also don't think he needs any more money, etc.

I am one who believes he just wants to do the right thing. This is yet another one of them deals where time will tell. I also know that the existing candidates would love to rip him a new one but he is smart and just not giving them much of a shot. How this works will be very interesting indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually won. There are a LOT of people who want Trump gone and there are a LOT of people who believe he can get it done.

In the fullness of time................
