That led to the internet, where people from all over the world talk for free!

Also, imagine if, during the development of all those technologies, users had come to the realization that THEY were being bought and sold.
Ham, CB, BBS's, the general internet, none of them treated users as "the product"....only Facebook and these other social media platforms have done that.

We are NOT USERS on Facebook. We are "product".
Cambridge Analytica never hung out on 27.125 mHz or 147.435mHz and analyzed what people were talking about and using it against them.

I wouldn't take it to the bank or bet the farm on that yet. South Carolina I mean. On 1 Feb Biden had a 18 point lead over Sanders in South Carolina. Today, that lead is down to 3. The trend is all in Sanders favor to win South Carolina...

And it wasn't close enough to feed more red meat to the Bernie Frenzy.

Shucks.

It is with a little qualifier:

Collective stupidity is caused by a lack of access to true information. These days, the internet has true information in about the proportion of phone calls from people I actually want to talk to.

Some a-hole was actually arguing with me about aluminum window frames melting as fast as vinyl frames during wildfires. Which of course is absolute BS. Buh bye! click

I wouldn't call that love.. She and the kid don't even live in DC. They have a house in Maryland.

Vinyl melting temp approx. 200C
Aluminum meting temp around 660C
Wildfire temp starting at 1200C

Maybe “as fast” is a relative term in the context of burning up in a wildfire?

That's because no one ever bothered to tell "Comic Book Guy" that he's only an expert on COMIC BOOKS! Apparently Comic Book Guy is more of an expert on everything than....THE EXPERTS!
