I believe strongly in the 2 party system. So which party do you belong to? The beer party or the pot party?

Why can't you belong to both? Hmm

Weed and coffee are my vices now, I'm allowed an occasional drink but shouldn't make a habit of it. I miss bourbon like I miss my dear departed mother.

Independent. In a state with a closed primary I refuse to join the Democratic Party even to vote for Bernie. I'm a socialist but caucus with the Democrats.

I used to smoke that stuff. Then I got COPD. I do, however, make great brownies! <G>

Edibles make my eyes dry and put me to sleep. Smoking is a bit difficult with these old tobacco ravaged lungs. But vaping?

Like Mama Bear's porridge...it's juuuuuust right.

Never liked coffee or alcohol much. I guess I'm just lucky that way. Also never found a drug I couldn't live without, though I tried a lot of them. I have mild MS and neuropathy, so I got a disabled license plate and a medical cannabis recommendation. I usually just smoke one puff before bed to prevent leg cramps.

I do rather like the Chamba Chai they sell at Costco, and always have a pitcher of China Black iced tea in the fridge. Not a member, but my political preferences must be obvious.

Don't sound all that lucky to me...kinda sad the way I see it. Like somebody that don't like cheese, or vegetables...so many flavors and varieties, so many ways to serve them and enjoy them.

But I'm a foody and there is very little that has ever passed these lips that I didn't enjoy one way or another.

To return to the subject. Washington state mails out its voting ballots. We also have open primaries. Those in charge of the vote decided that they would try and take care of such things as Republicans voting in a Democratic primary. To this end they forced everybody who submitted a ballot to state if they were Democrats or Republicans. If you don't make a choice your ballot will not be counted. There is, as you can imagine, some resistance to this one and its going to get VERY vocal before this is all over. I haven't voted yet and am not sure how to deal with it but I do know its a big deal and there is going to be a lot of pain before this one is decided.

The interesting thing is that the logic that this is going to somehow stop people on one side voting in the primary of the other side just makes no sense. Anybody can claim anything and there is absolutely no way they can know, for sure, if the voter was honest or not. Basically, nothing changes. This is, as far as I can tell, a serious overreach, by gov. In this particular case I think it comes from the left over Repubicans voting in a Democratic primary for Bernie.

It will be interesting to see how it works out. Right now those in charge are saying that they are going to contact everybody who didn't make a choice and ask a lot of questions in the hope of saving the ballot itself. We are told that early voters have refused to give their preference in the thousands.

One can only wonder if gov decided we somehow didn't have enough entertainment so thought to up the ante for us?

They will, of course, in the end, LOSE!
