As of 2 weeks ago, Earth has 2 moons. Earth captured an asteroid, which is now orbiting the earth once every 4 months. You won't find it without a powerful telescope because it is only the size of a compact car, but it is there.

NOTE: I strongly believe in space exploration, but I also strongly believe that we need leaders to step up for that exploration. As Commander in Chief of the United States Space Force, I can't think of a mission more beneficial for America and the world than for Donald Trump to lead a one way mission to that moon. Lets take another giant step for mankind. What say you?

Perhaps you are familiar with Niven's fictional alien race called Pierson's Puppeteers?

Quote:
Pierson's Puppeteers, often known just as Puppeteers, and known to themselves as Citizens are highly intelligent non-humanoid tripedal herbivores, first encountered by Olaf Pierson. A technologically advanced race descended from twin-necked herd herbivores, and noted for their so-called cowardice.

Their leader is called the "Hindmost" because like most human "leaders", he leads from behind.

"captured an asteroid" - HAH! You go ahead and hold onto that one. This all started when our Navy officially announced, a couple of months ago that there are UFOs and they have no idea what they are and can't seem to shoot down. Now we have a captured asteroid. There will be, I am sure, more to come.

When they start to announce that the captured asteroid seems to have lights, or has moved closer to earth, its probably time to head for the hills!

I have every book Niven ever wrote. One of my favorites. My absolute favorite is World Out of Time.

LOL. I'm also into Heinlein. Read his short story The Roads Must Roll. Heinlein hated authoritarians with a passion. LOL.

Not me. I have electronic books. My electronic library is bigger than the Houston Public Library. LOL.
