Well, there are morons that bought one of Trump's short-term policies that get around that. They are exempt from the ACA requirement. Once Trump makes them cover pre-existing conditions, there is zero incentive for insurance companies to write them. So once again, Trump is just cleaning a turd he laid, and then claiming credit for it.

Who knew health insurance could be so complicated? People who understand health insurance, dummy! Any new plan that offers ACA-like benefits will cost what ACA costs. Unless you have a public option that cuts the insurance company's 15% profit out of the cost.

Donald Trump in a nutshell:

The “billionaire” who hides his tax returns.
The “genius” who hides his college grades.
The “businessman” who bankrupted 3 casinos and lost over $1B in 10 years.
The “playboy” who pays for sex.
The “Deal Maker” who can’t produce Capitol Hill deals.
The “Christian” who doesn’t go to church.
The “philanthropist” who defrauds charity.
The “patriot” who dodged the draft. And attacks dead Veterans and their widows.
The “innocent man” who refuses to testify.

Had a great farm meeting yesterday evening. One of the new members is going to do a native planting alongside the public trail easement to encourage them to stay on the trail while enhancing their experience. We had planned to do a fence (and got funding in exchange for granting the easement for one) but weren't comfortable with "the look". He’s a professional naturalist and is really bringing some fresh vision to the place, and the planting will be not only a barrier to trespass but an attractive landscape element that also provides food for wildlife and people. We also discussed adding “conservation burials” to the list of productive purposes for the farm - dead people as compost, no permanent "memorials" clogging scarce land or energy consuming cremations.

That's the way I want to go: Burlap sack, and a hole in the ground to feed the worms. I would consider being turned into biochar first. That has the ecological benefit of spreading your remains out more uniformly.

So what kind of native human food was he talking about? Pine nuts? Prickly pear? The latter would certainly discourage off-trail wandering.

We'll use biochar in the "bed", but, given the complexities of dehydrating and chopping up a corpse in preparation for pyrolyzing, composting a meter deep seems a friendlier approach to the living. The biochar will be pre-treated with a fungal dominant compost that is really good are working with the plant community to sequester carbon deep in the soil.

Prickly pear will be a core plant, with mesquite for a bit of an overstory and I don't know what else he has in mind, yet. Probably agave and native plums (it's a riparian zone next to a year round creek, so not limited to upland Chihuahuan desert species. There's an infestation of Siberian elms and Tree of HeavenHell that will be eradicated and replaced by Arizona sycamore and desert willow. Also a couple of salt cedars to kill.

Trump said at today's presser that the "1918 Spanish flu" ended WWII because all of the soldiers got sick? LOL

What a dumbass. smile

E Jean Carroll's request for Trump's DNA must be met by September 17, 2020. Trump's lies and boorish behavior are catching-up to him.

My wife is having a never-ending battle with Tecalote Thistle. Very similar to Star Thistle. It colonizes disturbed wild land, like our weed-abated property and can kill livestock. I think we need an insect that eats it, because it can even kill goats.
