Thanks for proving my point. I appreciate it. laugh

 If you really want to say that - while agreeably few - there are more honest people on the right who recognize that both sides have these problems and engage in this kind of idiotic hyperbole than there are on the left, well, I agree smile

smile Now I remember why I stopped responding to you. It's unfortunate that, even here, we get trolls.

"We?" You're hardly a member of the Reader Rant community with your piddly 451 posts since 2019 and your "look at me! Ex-Army Ranger here" bullsh!t. As if. That was such a Trumpian move on your part.

I've been a member of Reader Rant since 2005. The only one trolling here is you with your rightwing hyperbole and your "both sides" asinine analysis.

You rightwinges love your victimhood, because you're sad fcks. If you never respond to me ever again, it would be too soon. smile

Psh. I was never in the Rangers, I just worked with them. I am a Marine, and have never claimed anything less laugh

And your longevity here isn't really an excuse for your behavior. Perhaps a sad possible indicator why this forum was so bereft of half the political spectrum, but, not exactly an excuse. When I was invited here, I came along with the understanding that this was generally an older, wiser environment, where we didn't abuse each other. "We play billiards, not pool", was the phrasing used.

But, you get That Guy everywhere, I suppose frown. I hope you find healing one day.

Anywho, back to the topic at hand: the violence associated with the public protests seems to have accomplished what we thought it would; depressing public support:

44% of Americans disapprove of protests in response to police violence against Black Americans, while 39% approve. In June, 54% approved....

Every gay guy I know has had a Marine - including me. In fact a beefy hairy Marine was my very first conquest and I was only 17 years old. He was assigned to the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego. Marines make such good bottoms - they're so obedient and wanting to please. laugh

Sorry pal, I have no use for Rightwingers. I find Rightwingers to be as useful as teats on a boar. You people are always on the wrong side of history and I find little difference between American conservatives, ISIS and al Qaeda.

Whoever 'invited' you here, clearly used you as a pawn. But, carry on...

You are right about that one. Unfortunately its also given encouragement to some elements of the police. Then they proceed to do really dumb things, like riding a bike over the head of somebody. The results, of course, is going to be another million dollar settlement. I continue to be amazed at the number of municipalities paying out the big bucks rather than fixing their police departments and making it stick.

One would think that the taxpayers would raise enough hell to get that one done but, I guess not.

No surprise here. We generally have a short span of attention and little tolerance for stupidity. In Portland, stupidity reigned supreme.

CPWILL I play billiards.

Back when this was a living vibrant website we fought like cats and dogs. But we did it within the guidelines or faced the consequences.
We chose our words and our links carefully.

The guidelines were thrown out the window when Trump came along.

I'm a socialist...but I still basically agree with you on many issues.

We all want the same things. Peace, prosperity, security. Life, Liberty and the ownership of firearms. We all want the American Dream to be our reality.
