Greger already said he wants to move into town, where he has much better wheelchair access to stores and such. Wheelchairs are a bitch on dirt paths and roads.

Pope Francis Speaks

Quote:
“Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God,” Francis said in one of his sit-down interviews for the film. “You can’t kick someone out of a family, nor make their life miserable for this. What we have to have is a civil union law; that way they are legally covered.”

Not quite marriage equality, but important progress, considering papal infallibility. Now Catholics who are anti-gay risk heresy. I wonder if Conservative Catholics will have a schism and form a new Church that does not recognize the authority of the Pope.

Yep! And its a smaller place, my swamp house is a big rambling ranch. It's almost 50 feet from my desk to the refrigerator, then an 85 foot hike back to the master bathroom...

This place is awesome. Built in 1957, a snowbird's bungalow. It's a rental property my ex owns. She inherited it from the last snowbird who lived here, along with a million bucks.

I can wheel myself around the block in my manual chair and the power chair will get me to the weekly farmers market downtown.

I've got a lot of health issues and she offered this place up. She's two blocks away.

Oh, and wheelchairs are a bitch...anywhere and under any circumstances.

But pavement is a big help, and flat terrain.

It's nice you have a cordial relationship with your ex: When I got divorced, we made plans for my wife to become self-sufficient. I gave her our little house and supported her through trade school until she had a good job. We went our own ways, but we never had any animosity. I just wish everybody could have such a pleasant divorce.

We only hired one lawyer for the divorce. If our circumstances had been switched I'da done the same for her, we never stopped being besties.

I've got so much to think about right now that politics and world affairs have temporarily fallen by the wayside. I have pages and pages of lists. I can't walk, can't lift anything, and can't legally drive.
Gotta get my dog to the vet in the morning...It's f*cking midnight.

Sounds like a Herculean Task. I hope you have good helpers. Figuring out what to take versus what to send to charity or the dump is very difficult. It might be easier on you to just tag or list everything to be moved, and then move out. Let your helpers or hires sort out the rest and clean out the house.

Greetings my good friends. I've been wrapped up in a project at home, getting my "music studio" operational. I've got wires everywhere and instruments and mics strewn about. I only get a few hours a day to work on it, when my honey is napping. It literally took me two days to sort out a setting issue between my interface and computer (that is technically called "incompetence"). It also turns out the interface only works on one USB port (of 8), for some unfathomable reason, and my wireless WiFi hub blocks 3 ports, it's so fat!

But... yesterday, I was able to record (badly) one track, so I know it can be done. Today I am going to try to learn how to lay a second track and sync them. I used to be so good at software.... My goal is to record a song I wrote for my honey on her 42nd birthday (the [mumbledy-mumble]st anniversary of which is coming up Monday). Wish me luck! I miss y'all.

With multiple hubs, it can help to make high speed time-sensitive stream connections as close to the computer as possible. Not in physical distance, but in data passing through the minimum number of hubs.
