Costs $2500 to get a grow or dispensary license. Medical weed permit has zero limitations, so LOTS of people have them. The business brings in more revenue than the state lottery!

What kind of orange idiot pays $3M to have 132 more votes for his opponent found and still lose the recount?

What king of orange idiot fires almost all of the military policy board to replace them with unqualified loyalists with just 50 days left in his administration? Much more important than him igniting big piles of other people's money in futile flailing.

Words are sometimes strange. For instance, "right" and "rights" can be diametrically opposed: synonyms for "right" include goodness, righteousness, responsible, virtue; synonyms for "rights" include entitlement, privilege, advantage, prerogative.

I know that there is a bunch of dissension over some pandemic response strategies, especially around masks and limited gatherings. It is also dissension between what is "right" (responsible) and "rights" (entitlement to do what you want).

We could also classify this difference of opinion as "consideration of others" vs "consideration of self".

It seems obvious Trump in in the midst of a psychotic break. Apparently he keeps wandering around in a daze, saying "I won" over and over again. I guess the question is: How would you know when this started?

Pretty clear now though. He's not functioning as a normal human being, much less as a President. Pence and the cabinet should do an Amendment 25 action, and get the poor guy some psychiatric help. I read his brown-nosing doctor has resigned. They are not doing him any favors by letting this go on. No need to wait until he starts running down Pennsylvania Avenue naked, or painting murals with feces.

That has the advantage of Pence being able to pardon Trump, which would be a lot more bullet-proof than Trump pardoning himself.

Consideration of self or others does appear to be the dividing line between conservatives and liberals. I've been having a spirited discussion about student loan forgiveness as part of a change of national policy regarding education. It's ironic, in some cases, that "fairness" turns on whether we're talking about individuals or the "class" of similarly situated individuals. Some erstwhile liberals balk at providing a benefit to others because they "paid for theirs".

Thought I would add, on the drug front, that Oregon is now leader of the pack since they de-criminalized virtually ALL drugs! First step of the Portuguese solution! Now police won't need to harass the victims and go after the sellers!
