Perhaps you simply aren't willing to compromise? Open minds are always willing to compromise...perhaps your accuser can demonstrate this by showing you that he or she is willing meet you halfway on the issue at hand.

I generally take the route of asking questions as a means of attempting to crack open an at-loggerheads argument. However, experience shows that it isn't a very reliable technique, as the common reaction is to accuse me of trying to trap my opponent.

I guess that's what Trump was afraid of with Mueller...
