This is a good one! Texas Lt. Governor pays out on a bounty he posted almost a year ago for turning in vote fraudsters - $25 Big Ones.
A week after the 2020 election, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced that he was offering up to $1 million -- paid from his campaign account -- "to incentivize, encourage and reward people to come forward and report voter fraud."

Nearly a year later, Patrick, a Republican, has paid out his first reward: $25,000 to a Democrat in Pennsylvania, who reported a man for voting twice.
Eric Frank, a poll worker, received the money earlier this month for his part in reporting Ralph Holloway Thurman, a Republican who after voting once, attempted to vote a second time as his son, as first reported by the Dallas Morning News.
Frank plans to put the money toward a home and some toward charity, though he believes he should have been given a bigger reward. Frank said he was told by Patrick's spokesperson that he received the minimum reward because "we're looking at bigger fish."
At least he paid something, even though it was for a teensy trash fish...

Mail Fraud Story

Here is another story of voter fraud, this one hyped endlessly by the Nevada GOP and Tucker on Fox. A woman who died a few years ago was still on the voter roles, and the election folks said a ballot was mailed to her home address, and later received back and counted. Her husband said he never saw any such ballot, and was shocked! Who could have intercepted her ballot, and then sent it in?

This was a single case, but obviously shows the entire Nevada election was fraudulent, and should be thrown out. This could have happened thousands of times!!!

Except it didn't. It came out she was a registered Republican who would have voted for Trump. Her husband works at a very pro-Trump company. He has now been indicted on two class D felonies for voting "her ballot" as well as his own. He faces up to 8 years in prison. Right wing media is totally silent on this leading story, that they now deny they know anything about. Since he mailed in her ballot, he could also be facing federal mail fraud charges.

That perfectly exemplifies the important Dishonesty Plank in the Conservative platform. Them that go against the Pirates Code by shunning the DP are traitors and should walk the Plank plank.

I find it strange that voting twice at Trump's direction, can get you more time in prison, than taking part in an insurrection (again at Trump's direction). A policeman died from that insurrection, for God's sake! An insurrectionist also died, and that used to be enough for fellow participants in the crime to be charged with murder.

I think a lot of these people need to spend a long time in prison, if we really want to be a nation of laws. Same for a lot of their supporters, too. At the very least the 14th amendment says giving aid or comfort to insurrectionists disqualifies you from elected office. That should be applied, or it's just going to happen again and again.

Sounds reasonable.

The article and news reports did not mention LG Patrick refused to pay another claimant (maybe the same one) for a case the claimant put forward. So I have to wonder, if the original claimant threatened a suit if LG Patrick didn't pay, and only now is getting paid?

On another note, Texans love idiots who are Republicans and loyal Trump supporters.

I think it's fitting that all the voter fraud is by Republicans. Probably because Trump told his supporters to do that! But really, that's a time-tested Republican tactic: Accuse Democrats of doing exactly what their own people are doing. You can pretty much bank on that, every time a Republican makes an accusation in the media.

It's just like them claiming government can't do anything right, and then doing their best to prove it when they get elected.
