That must have been a really bad car accident because the Van Dyke brothers were known for how much health and vitality they projected, even at an advanced age.
Dick Van Dyke is STILL confounding doctors as a song and dance man at AGE NINETY PLUS.

John Young, 'most experienced' U.S. astronaut, dies at 87 -Reuters.

I grew up during the height of the 'space race', and Young was a part of almost all of it. At each step of that exciting journey, I can remember his name being mentioned. "He flew into space twice during NASAs Gemini program in the mid-1960s, twice on the Apollo lunar missions and twice on space shuttles in the 1980s. He was the only person to fly on all three types of programs."

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
