All Hawaiian island Warehouses closed today. Middleton, WI has been closed and will continue to be until next WE 08/29 - two inches of water ruined first layer of inventory on every pallet.

That is literally tons of spoiled garbage they have to remove, and quickly before it wicks water up into the rest of the merchandise. The fork lift guys are going to be VERY busy. The worst thing is that all the stuff on a pallet above the bottom is fine, but they have to separate the pallets by hand.

I wonder if they could just have a flood sale and have the public remove all the good stuff at 50% off. Might be cheaper than using employee labor.

Quote:
No amount of alcohol is safe, according to The Global Burden of Diseases study, which analyzed levels of alcohol use and its health effects in 195 countries from 1990 to 2016.

... "Our results show that the safest level of drinking is none," the report states. "This level is in conflict with most health guidelines, which espouse health benefits associated with consuming up to two drinks per day."

Quote:
Despite the study's uncompromising message, some critics say its conclusions may be overblown. Claiming there is no safe level of alcohol consumption is not a compelling argument for people to stop drinking altogether, says David Spiegelhalter, the Winton professor for the public understanding of risk at the University of Cambridge

"There is no safe level of driving, but governments do not recommend that people avoid driving," Spiegelhalter told the BBC. "Come to think of it, there is no safe level of living, but nobody would recommend abstention."

If somebody posted this already, I didn't see it. Impressive article from Slate chronicling the Trump Show...

Trump chose Putin before America right in front of us

Trump has a defect that renders him unfit for the Presidency. I'm not talking about crimes, scandalous behavior, or impeachable offenses. I'm talking about lying.

The boy who cried "Wolf" a thousand times is not believed about anything by anybody. Even his supporters say he lies, but so what, and they still support him. But I'll tell you "so what": When something serious comes up, and the President has to talk to the American people about it, no one is going to believe him.

This may be Putin's dream, but I think it could be a nightmare. We still have all those nuclear weapons, still have the most powerful armed forces in the world, still control most of the world's economy, etc. Is it really in Russia's best interests to have an unstable, vindictive, child running the US? Who knows what could happen, and most of the bad stuff that could happen would be disastrous for Russia.

There are rumors of a 6th Trump child, now that AMI has released Fatboy's former Doorman from his catch 'n kill contract.

Fatboy can't even color the American flag, correctly. His incompetence knows no bounds.

Costco is self-insured and will write-off the extra labor and other costs to getting the warehouses back in order. For example, five Special Kiosks that hang out on the fence near the exits (Flooring, HVAC, Generator, Counter, Garage Doors) at $1500 a piece, need to be ordered and in-place by next Wednesday.

Haven't heard about the Hawaii warehouses. I'm sure I will on Monday.

it's all factored in as costs of doing business. Hmm
