Quote:
I suggested to our Member of Parliament that the central American farmers displaced by global heating, the ones heading up in that caravan your President got so exercised about, should be invited to settle Ontario's clay belt in the name of ensuring global agricultural production. They'd need a little support, to be sure, but it seemed like a good long-term investment

That's a great idea and forward thinking. Canada may be set to become the breadbasket of the world.

Brilliant Businessman Donald J Trump ( LOL ) , announced via Twitter today that his Doral property has ravenous bed bugs.

No wonder Donald "Chapter 11" Trump has had to file for six business bankruptcies. Trump is truly a stellar thinker. smile

America's foreign policy - where we are at today:

America to CUBA: "We're not talking to you because you're communist!"

America to CHINA: "Hey, girl! How's that communism going?"

America to IRAN: "We're not talking to you because you MIGHT do something!"

America to SAUDI ARABIA: "Hey, girl! 9/11? Khashoggi? So what? Bygones!"

I heard a good metaphor today relating to Trump, but it could apply to most any Regressive.

Dealing with Trump is like playing chess with a rooster. The first thing the rooster does is jump on the board and scratch most of the pieces onto the ground. Then it shiits all over what is left, and crows that it won the game!

Costco China

The warehouse had to close half-way through its grand opening day because it was overwhelmed with shoppers and the local highway infrastructure couldn't handle the traffic.

I was at Popeye's today when they ran out of chicken sandwiches. The line was right out the door for their latest craze. The really stupid thing is that it's just a boneless chicken breast tender on a white bread bun. They've had tenders for years and they still had them today. (In fact, that's what I had.) I just don't understand why anyone would get excited about a hamburger bun. And even more, why anyone would even want a breaded chicken tender on a bun. Seems pretty redundant to me.

I also had a biscuit, and they are worth queuing up for. The red beans and rice was great too.

Reminds me of the Student Sandwich, Jamaican patty on a bun. The article is 5 years old but, apparently, it has become a "thing" in Toronto in the mean time.

Lined up out the door...it's not the sandwich, it's the marketing.

The marketing got people excited.

Same with that Jamaican patty sandwich. A Jamaican patty is pretty gross, I like mine deep fried. But put that rascal between two nice soft buns with some condiments and lettuce and tomato and by golly you've got yourself a meal!

Maybe a poutine sandwich will catch on down here one day...
